I'm going with the alternate ending, where Buffalo wins big this week, loses in heartbreaking fashion to the Cowboys eliminating the Bills from the playoffs. They then steam roll the Jets, who still manage to make the play-offs and go to the conference championship. At this point everyone in Buffalo screams how it could have been our year if not for Jacksonville.

I can't get on board with the idea that professional athletes aren't allowed to let other factors influence their decision. Just like I'd take a lesser job in the right city over the perfect job in a city I despise (lets say Dallas, or anywhere in Florida for that matter). I had a thought the other day: the college football system where teams essentially play a bunch of warm-up games before getting to a last few games against competitive opponents is detrimental to QB development. I'll hang up and listen (mostly because I really don't follow college football and I'd like to know if I'm off base).

No, you're right Rob Ray. :) (I do think you're right, BTW, Wing and Center are similar but not the same thing. It seems like most Centers can play some wing, and some Wings can play Center, but there are bound to be players that just don't do well switching.

General question: when a dollar-figure gets bandied around, do tax rebates / breaks get included in that number? If Buffalo/Erie County give the new stadium what amounts to, say, $100M in tax breaks and $300M in cash, does that get reported as $400M?

I think if he gets to the end of next year in the NCAA, he becomes a UFA, right? So for the Sabres it seems like it'd be better to get him signed sooner than that in case he decides to wait out the last few months, finish school, and sign with whomever he likes. As for his personal development, I'd tend to say that being among the oldest players in the NCAA is less valuable that playing in Rochester full-time with a look or three with the Sabres.

Every one I've done it on does 90 seconds + 1 minute, or 2:30. I think it amuses me because I had to write a countdown timer for an engineering class in assembly language and the professor off-handedly mentioned that it *might* be something he'd test to see how well it was written. I'm hoping to find a microwave that flips out when I do it.

I like to punch times into the microwave such as 1:90 and 2:75.

I don't have the energy to really get into it again, but essentially hockey streams doesn't legally have permission to show NHL games (at least in North America). Essentially, they're taking someone else's work without permission or paying and selling it. I personally think it's wrong but I try not to judge anyone who doesn't. I'm in the same boat as you though, no cable so I'm kind of screwed when playoffs come around since every game is on TV. I too wish there was a legitimate service to stream all the games.

I want to Terry and GMTM to have as much spreading around money as possible. ;)
