How do gun rights folks feel about having to log selling a gun private party (somewhat like selling a car). Failure to log is something from an misdemeanor to accomplice if it's really shady. Essentially, you're responsible for your weapon, and if it's sold, lost, or stolen, you better report it or you're on the hook for any crimes committed with it. One might argue there's a chicken and egg thing going on here. I'm sure I could find a county in Maryland that has really low gun crime stats despite being under those same laws.

If I remember right, Pysyk played all last season on the left in Rochester, probably since the Sabres knew that was a needed position and they wanted to see if he could do it. He definitely bumps Weber and Cola on most nights. If he can play steady and solid when Risto skates into the zone, the Sabres could have something.

I suddenly don't feel quite as bad about being beat when I ride around my neighborhood. I'm in no way in good shape, but if I were to ride up out of Coatesville to my house it's a 300ft climb over a mile. In my neighborhood there are 50-75ft climbs over a hundred or three yards. I really need to ride some flat ground.

Fess up: how many times have you seen "The Cutting Edge"?

There might be a subset of numbers that work with all of those, I dunno. I'm a rook too, I've bought tickets maybe 3 times in the last 10 years.

Someone mentioned that upthread, and it's hilarious.

Isn't the person pictured in his avatar, the avatar is his mom.

Interesting idea, but I don't think it holds water due to the way the Bills were sold. This was a once in perhaps a lifetime chance to buy the team, which I believe he expressed interest in before. Maybe he saw the market "crash" coming, and the timing did seem to work out for him, but I'm not sure he'd have done differently if he didn't see market issues on the horizon.

My Uncle Jack is really John, it's really common. Not to mention, John F./Jack Kennedy.

Depends on how you buy. which I didn't really understand when I did on Saturday. Popped $10 on, which bought me the same single set of numbers for the next 5 draws. I'm not sure what the pot reverts to when someone wins, but I'm sure it'll make massive changes in my retirement planning no matter what.

To be honest, I do it with a map in my head, just thinking of the cities themselves.

Dan Bylsma new Sabres head coach (now official!)

Lindy had Elite goaltending for almost all of his tenure. ( ;) ) -
I had to do it the other way, since I don't know if I could exhaustively list all the teams in the NFL. I think I have it, and checking the hint would fit my guess.

WNSA, you listen to us, we listen to you! ;)

He definitely comes off as a true-believer (and I mentioned it to him in the Politics thread); any argument that runs contrary is wrong and this is why. He's not angry or a jerk about it, though. Sad to see him go. As others have said the assist was the perfect way to go, better than actually scoring the goal himself. The one shot of Samson's face after the goal when Kane skated up said to me, "dude, I can't believe you passed up a chance to shut up the crowd" along with complete gratitude. Fine, review both. Doesn't make an elbow to the head OK.

So Myers has 18 points on the season, 8 of which are in the last 10 (10 pts. in the previous 31). The next 10 games will be the interesting ones, is 0.8 PPG a streak or has his game turned around? Armia may pan out, but the guy is what, 24 and couldn't break onto a roster than only has one other actual RW. That doesn't speak well for him, but most rosters also don't have two players out of position (Ennis and Reinhart) being useful either. It's a shame too, I was looking forward to the Armia: One (Army of One) postings in the GDTs.

Yeah, they're totally going to pass up a RW for a LW (unless the rating is greatly in Laine's favor).

It's the little things that seem simple but make this difficult. If I buy a motorcycle in the spring and then decide to sell it in the fall, do I get taxed on the income I used to buy it AND the sale? Whichever way it falls, you'll eventually put a note in the tax code to address that issue. If I sell my old bicycle for $40 at a garage sale, do I pay taxes on that sale too? How is it easier for average Joe to have to keep track of everything I sell? OK, let's put a note in there to put a lower-limit on what constitutes property sale. Then the rich folks will have a tax advisor tell them when selling their yacht, don't sell it all at once but in a series of installments just under the limit so they don't have to pay taxes on any one transaction. (I'm picking that one item in the list, but essentially that's how the tax code grows).

We were being polite. :) In all seriousness, Armia was a first-round pick that never seemed to put it together in the AHL or his very short looks in the NHL. Coming into it fresh, maybe he looks better if you have no history but Buffalo fans were going to be disappointed unless he was skating on the 1st or 2nd line and putting up 15-25 goals. I don't know much about his game or the Jets line-up, is Armia responsible enough to play 3-4 wing? Or are the Jets well-off on RW that Armia is on the 3rd line (at times) because there are two greats ahead of him? We like to joke about Stafford and he is playing well this year, but we all hoped Armia would be well ahead of Staff by now. Lemiuex is in juniors as a 19 year old (right?) in the OHL; numbers in Junior are nice but don't always predict future NHL success, especially when the player is older than most of the guys he's playing against.

The sign at the citiy limits doesn't say "Toronto". It begins and ends with that. -
Someone else pointed it out, this may be the most complex system he's had to play at a high level. I admittedly don't know much about the USHL, but after that he had a year of Rolston/Cassidy in the AHL, a couple months of Rolston in the NHL, and the rest has been Nolan in the NHL and Latvia.

I think you're on to something here. I noticed it Tuesday night (and seem to remember it other times) that the D don't skate down past the goal circles very often until the third and the Sabres are down by 2+. Florida scored and suddenly Risto is skating down below the goal trying to make things happen. I suppose it could be Risto taking things into his own hands, but I have to think it's coaching.
