Based on my Facebook feed, Bernie Sanders is really making headway. More of the posts from my Republican friends attack him than Clinton now.

I wonder if that would be the case it there were routinely 3-4 fights per game, and most of those grappling affairs where neither guy really shows any plan or skill fighting. You know, like NHL goals these days. :)

[Mumbling] crap, it's 3 already?

And that's different from today's hockey systems how? We get all the boring calculated play of rigid offensive systems, but none of the excitement of watching skill players have space to play. I guess the question, do teams use the "Soviet" style in the KHL? I haven't watched a KHL game so I don't know what it looks like.

There were on the train I rode back in 2013.

Just pointing out that while we did beat De-twa after being down 2-1, those comebacks are getting fewer and far between. It'd be interesting to see records for teams than at any point in a game trailed now vs. during the days of a more open game (05-07, 80s, 90s). There's only so many games you'll sit through when once your team goes down a goal or two you know there's almost no chance of seeing them come back. If you want to look at numbers and pictures of numbers: http://www.sportingcharts.com/articles/nhl/average-goals-scored-per-game-in-the-nhl.aspx

Losing record, not lose every game.

It's a numbers game and unpredictability. I don't see where the draft picks are listed, but lets say in the last 20 years, there have been 300 top-15 picks. There have been over 3600 not-top-15 picks. Even if the breakdown is 50/50 (I'd guess that's high for the non-top-15). The NHL draft after the first few is a crap shoot, it really is. It's not like GMs are getting to the 4th round and saying, "hmm, no one picked this guy yet, but we're sure he's going to be in the top-50 some day". It's luck. Good scouting can shift things slightly in your favor, but I just can't believe GM that picks some all star 6th but non-factors in the 2nd thru 5th knew what was going to happen.

Updated Evander Kane Cleared in Sex Offense Investigation

It's 500 in Roman numbers. I assume that's a reference to Mercedes SL or GL 500. (;)) -
I'm pretty sure this is correct. Even more, burning a season of his eligibility on a season that's all but "over" is a poor way to become a good team down the road.

How about the NHL steers into this and puts in some extra skills competitions. They could get the punch-o-meter from Rocky 4. They could adapt a mechanical bull and make the players grapple with it and stay on their skates for 30 seconds. #JohnScottSkills

He's and the Flames are in a pickle. He either needs to say, I was fine and I hit the linesman. Or, I was concussed and didn't know. The former he's in a world of hurt. The latter he and the Flames are in a world of hurt for ignoring the concussion.

Frankly, I haven't read a dud on there yet. I'm surprised I haven't found their complete list and read them all. There's a Shawn Merriman one about the ProBowl that popped up today and it's good too (might be a year or two old though).

Funny, dusty here too.

Dan Bylsma new Sabres head coach (now official!)

I don't think anyone was really saying the bump was the interference, it was the stick that lifted up and pushed back Lehner's right pad. I thought the challenge had a shot from that standpoint. The puck went in on that side of Lehner, but I can't remember if it was elevated or not. it's pretty reasonable to say that a stick under a pad would inhibit movement on that side. -
John Scott on the All-Star game (cross posted with the romance of hockey thread, since I think it belongs in both). It's a great read and shows to a degree what the NHL was up to: http://theplayerstribune.com/a-guy-like-me/

You suck. :) other than the appropriate amount of melt, my street still looks like this. The only part that was plowed was the single center lane. The Subaru-shaped spot is after I moved my car and cleaned out my space.

Darien Hatcher is watching hockey somewhere thinking, "I could have been a contender!" DOOOO IIITTTTT! :) Put the game on mute and call (and record) it. Heck, get Josie to do color so you can take a drink here and there. :) Nah, as I think Brad May mentioned, he needs to keep making that play just like in football you need to run the ball to make play action work. Make the opposite side defender and goalie wonder and it'll open up the short side when the goalie starts to move or leave a man open at the far post as the defender tries to stop the move behind the net. I don't think they have Tim Horton's in Nashville, so ROR better get a DD to go to DD.

I'm confused by this: after the first emergency plowing, you mean they came back to clean up the piles of snow that were out in the middle of the street to make it somewhat normal for cars? I'm completely confused by this.

His jib is at far to jaunty of an angle for someone of his position. Harry Neale live tweets shot distances and delay time for all Sabres shots.

Maybe her complaint is a bump. On the head, in the street, etc.

I feel old, it was Mondale and Reagan when I was that age. Mondale lost huge. On a supplies note, apparently people have been sending those guys "supplies" consisting of sex toys. That's some high comedy there. The Purple Hearts people that'll come pick up your old stuff is considered pretty shady too.

I agree. My biggest hope is Jack shows anything approaching Samson's growth from last year to this year. Sure, I'd have loved to see him come out of the gates as the star we all hope he'll be but I'm not sure how realistic that was going to be on this team in today's NHL.

You could always call and ask a store to order a bottle. Even the PA state-run places will at least listen if you have a request. I haven't tried it before, but I talked to one of the people at the store and as long as it isn't crazy they'll order it.
