  1. The Bills 30 for 30 (I haven't watched this yet, but it should be mentioned) I like these, but they may be a bit slow for some people. Europa Report Stardust Into the White The Wipers Times Rounders
  2. The Onion News is reporting on how the Mexican parliament is bargaining internally on how they're going to come up with the $8B to build that wall. From what I read, it looks like random burrito health inspections and undercover margarita testers are first on the block to get chopped.

From the reading of the Reddit post linked above (FWIW), no, there aren't vault games now. I just looked quickly and there's nothing obvious in the Android app that suggests they're available. I looked at the web version and I don't see anything obvious there either. You can scroll back to last season (at least) but there isn't any video available. I'm just shocked that hockey streams lasted that long.
  4. Come on, clearly he has some great insight into the races and now Trump is going to overcome his high unfavourable polling. He's just waiting to lay it on us.
  5. Thor, Jesus, and the Bhudda are all working in the school computer lab on a project. Suddenly, everything goes dark for a few minutes. When the power comes back on, the server is back but all the files are missing. Thor starts looking at his hammer, then his computer, then his hammer again. The Bhudda gets uncharacteristically red-faced, mumbles something about "the right effort, and desire is the root of suffering, but Jesus H. Christ I'm pissed". Jesus is just sitting and ambivalently looking at his screen. Thor asks, "how can you not be mad, Jesus?". Jesus holds up a USB stick and says, "Jesus Saves".
  6. Buffalo returns home after a more disastrous outing than usual in Philly. HCHDDB was livid at the post-game press conference storming off saying, "that's the last time I let the guys go to Tony Luke's for Cheesesteak and Pork Italiano after the morning skate." He told Josh Gorges and Brian Gionta on the plane back to cancel their usual order or poutine that some friends on the Habs bring them whenever they're in town. Reportedly he told them if he seens them eating anything on fries other than vinegar again he'll switch up the lines so many times they won't know who they're skating with.
  7. He hasn't been posting as much since Ullmark went to Rochachacha, but he's been around.

I guess I'm lucky, I haven't had much trouble with the system as far as streaming games. Features were lost and the interface is kinda ugly (which is saying something since the old interface wasn't pretty), but for my use (put a game on and let it run), other than not cutting out commercials in the replays it's fine. As for the VPN stuff, it's always going to be an arms race. The content providers figure out how to detect anomalies and block them, and the VPN provider either figures out some way around it or can't. FWIW, there's language in the EULA someone posted that NHL can cancel your account and "fine" you if you use a VPN. It doesn't seem like they're going to do that the first time, but I'd be cautious.

  10. Just saw that too. I hope the government fines "someone" for the damage done the area.
  11. The Tank idea was widely talked about with Pysyk (a young D here, now playing full time with the Sabres), but I never heard anyone here suggest that for Armia. To be honest, there wasn't much chatter here about him the last couple years, I think most people had consigned him to AHL or Europe lifer. I hope he turns out OK, he just never impressed.
  12. depends on the state. Some states allow anyone to vote in the primary (open primary), others only allow you to vote in the party that you're registered to. I think you could register for a party or switch if you wanted to, it's not like you have to vote party line in the actual election. I know a few independents that have registered as Democrat to weigh in on the Clinton/Sanders race. I'm tempted to, to be honest.
  13. Haven't thought of that page in awhile...
  14. Nerdier Alert: I thought of IPoAC (Internet Protocol over Avian Carriers) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers
  15. I thought a pretty large % came over on tourist visas and whatnot and then neglect to leave.
  16. It depends on the film. LotR or Narnia you know what the deal is so it's not as rigorous as something set in the real world. That being said, I was pretty turned off by the first Hobbit movie due to implausibility. There's a scene where a bunch of characters are falling down what has to be an 8000 ft crevice based on how long it took, bouncing off rocks and hitting the ground at the end. That should have been the end of the movie with a bunch of bloody pulp dwarves on the ground, but they got up and dusted themselves off and walked away. That's roadrunner and coyote nonsense. It's just as ridiculous, even in a setting of Dwarves and Dragons, as the cop movie where the good guy gets thrown through the wind shield of a car, slides along the pavement, and jumps up blasting away at the bad guy car with 25 rounds out his revolver. For Sci-fi, there's a certain amount of fun to something like Forbidden Planet or Iron Sky (Nazis on the Moon, with giant robot Hitler), but it's nice to see a movie play it straight with current tech from time to time. I feel like the Martian would have been far less compelling if he'd magically found super protein Mars beetles and an underground lake of potable water to survive on while building a rocket out of spare parts and Mars rocks.
  17. Such BS, Buffalo gets shafted and never gets a Superbowl played in BuffaloFoods.com Dome at Tift Farm nature preserve.
  18. It's not perfect, but on the whole the entire movie is plausible with current technology. That's really saying something when it comes to Hollywood.
  19. Played volleyball for the first time since the spring last night, and it's the first time I broke a sweat in awhile (even playing 6s). Serving: terrible Passing: terrible (but that's not unusual) Setting: not bad (I'm not a setter but it happens) Hitting: surprisingly good
  20. Recall it again, I'm sure the thread will pick up eventually.
  21. There are 6 definitions for recall at dictionary.com, and none of them match yours, FWIW. verb (used with object) 1. to bring back from memory; recollect; remember: Can you recall what she said? 2. to call back; summon to return: The army recalled many veterans. 3.to bring (one's thoughts, attention, etc.) back to matters previously considered: He recalled his mind from pleasant daydreams to the dull task at hand. 4. International Law. to summon back and withdraw the office from (a diplomat). 5. to revoke or withdraw: to recall a promise. 6. to revive. #2 (and #4, to a degree) fits the meaning here to a T. The kids today would have snapshatted him up. (the typo was unintentional, but is so awesome I'm not fixing it)
  22. He plays for the Kings (for the moment), not the Ducks. ;) (I'd give his agent a call and see what happens, a LHD that's pretty good wouldn't hurt)
  23. That's SOOOO naive. It's all marketing and the hockey ops side isn't in one. "Come to Buffalo to see your team play, they'll very likely win!" Happy out-of-town fans equal more beer sales, and more beer sales mean more more more beer sales. The next step will be to keep the beer vendors open if you can produce a Harborcenter Marriott hotel reservation or room key.
