  1. And presumably play a few games early in the season.
  2. El Presidente. They made a big deal about it in one episode where someone wouldn't stop talking.
  3. Also offered a scholarship at Trump University!
  4. So Pence for President? I don't know much about him, but nothing I've heard aligns well my views.
  5. I think on the 10th game, it counts as a year on his ELC whether it's Juniors or AHL. It's not that you can't send a player back to Juniors after that 10th game (see: Grigorenko), but most teams don't as if you've already burned that ELC year you might as well keep the player up unless it's really not working out (see: Grigorenko).
  6. 2nd paragraph: For an outsider, Trump is running what looks like the most political (in a bad way) campaign I've seen. Politicians are often criticized for pandering to their constituents and making empty promises. Trump will apparently say anything he thinks will crowd will love, and loves making promises that I highly doubt he will, or in many cases, can keep. He should have saved that for the October Surprise!
  7. I'd just like to say it was worth reading through this thread. Accidents happen. When they do, generally the right people are notified and the spill is cleaned up. Unless someone is repeatedly negligent after being educated, no one gets marched out in handcuffs.
  8. MrsPie and I did the stuff around Ohiopyle a couple years ago. Falling Water is very cool, but Kentuck Knob is a house I could see actually living in. The slides on the south end of town were really running that day I'm impressed by the kids that braved them. I highly recommend it!
  9. And they nailed it. Truly awesome.
  10. Hahaha, I used to do something similar at a bar called Kelly's in Endicott, NY. I think $11 was about right, but that was the going rate back then. They used to run $1 Labatt Blue bottles specials, if that places the time.
  11. Especially in my awesome blue 9x13 glass dish. MrsPie got me a nice Pyrex to replace it but I'm still a little annoyed that I broke it. This is the recipe I use. It's technically a bread pudding, but the description mentions it's a lot like a Tres Leches. I'm thinking about doing an experiment with some matcha green tea to cut the sweetness a bit. http://www.food.com/recipe/mulates-homemade-bread-pudding-with-butter-rum-sauce-367906
  12. d4rk is right that the low ABV helps. I used to bring Guinness cans to the Great Valley Canoe Regatta partly because it's nice beer and partly because at the time is was the best thing you could get in cans.
  13. I grabbed a 6 of Twelve Gates' West Coast IPA (out of Williamsville) last time I was in Buffalo. It's pretty good, if I were local I'd check out their tap-room. http://12gatesbrewing.com/beer/west-coast-ipa/
  14. I made something similar a few weeks ago for a party, and it was fantastic until the dish slid off the table and smashed.
  15. No love for HCHDDB? I like Girgs and want to see him succeed, but i'm worried about his ability to play in a system as others above have mentioned. The highest levels that he's played (NHL and Olympics) were on very non-system teams. This year (and maybe next) will be make-or-break to figure out if he can learn.
  16. I'm torn, I think it's a great word, but generally speaking I'm against re-purposing words with perfectly good definitions already.
  17. I think Ennis was playing a fair bit on the RW last year, wasn't he?
  18. In the original Klingon?
  19. That doesn't seem like a vote of confidence. Does that put him UFA at the end, or is it a tiny-bridge that gets the Sabres to the next contract while he's still RFA?
  20. crapulent doesn't mean what it sounds like. It'd be awesome if it meant, "possessing or displaying great amounts of crappy things", kind of like opulent for trash. Use: "I stopped by my friend's house in all its crapulent glory; is there an item off late night TV he hasn't bought?"
  21. NHL app notified me this a little bit ago, so it's official now.
  22. Until Jack signed, I think it'd be an NCAA violation for his program to take a gift flight. Vesey probably doesn't have the same issue since he's done with NCAA Hockey.
  23. Is the scoreboard centered over the ice? :)
  24. I thought about it later, and you're right; I don't find soccer to be boring. Crazy games where the teams are trading goals is more entertaining than the parking the bus that someone mentioned upthread, however.
  25. Seems like there are quite a few sports that aren't very entertaining unless the participants do something wrong, though. NASCAR (and auto racing in general) is kinda dull unless people are crashing; soccer unless teams are giving up tons of chances; golf unless drives are into the gallery, etc.
