The Sabres have benefited from that recently, but it's still exceedingly rare and shouldn't be counted on. If we want Kulikov next season, better keep him and sign him (post Expansion draft).

Interesting, do you know how the rules work? If I make a Pumpkin Lager in Brussels, can I call it Belgian? Or if I make a open vat, top fermented ale in Dunkirk with all Belgian-sourced ingredients, can I call it Belgian?

Taylor Fedun -- Am I crazy, or is he pretty decent?
MattPie replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
He wouldn't be the first guy to either show up for a bunch of games and then realize how crazy good he's playing and fall off a cliff (hang on, I have a call from MA Grangani). He also wouldn't be the first D to take a long time to put it together and become a competent 5/6. -
Welcome, and nice first post. Very good point, if playing boring hockey netted one extra win over this stretch and the Sabres (despite what it looks like) manage to slip into the playoffs by a point, it was worth it.

I think I'm at $1795 (as I haven't bet in forever). I put 3 on Buffalo at +140.

She was. Supporting banning free speech is a bad look on anyone.

This is what I was referring to: -
Seantral Henderson suspended 10 games for medically (?) prescribed pot violation. (source: Bills Facebook)

It's kind of understandable, no? James Mason was "totally" convincing as Rommel, so why not. :) -

Woody Harrelson is always "Woody Boyd" to me. Haven't really seen anything since that to supplant it. -
I just want to say, MODO, that if my family situation didn't rule me out of making the random road trip weekends I used to, I'd certainly be driving the 6 hours up to Buffalo for a drink in March.

GDT GDT: Buffalo at Ottawa, 7:30 PM ET, 11/29/2016
MattPie replied to Doohicksie's topic in The Aud Club
Pretty much. I was pretty much resigned that the Sabres would look the same with Jack in, but BAM! That first post just sucked me in. Now I want to binge drink so I can't remember anything between now and game time.- 775 replies

Sadly, I know almost all of them. I cannot think of a better indicator of wasted time. :) Terms: Teds Nolans. Rhino (I'm not entirely sure who this is, even now). Acronym ZONE!: DR, LR, GMTM, HHDCDB (I made this one up but I can never remember the exact order, Head Hot Disco Coach Daniel Byslma). ROR COR. Someone mentioned RAV (Roy, Max, and Vanek) but I think I've seen SRV more (Stafford, Roy, Vanek) or variations of that order.

Congrats. I'll march in the band at NS' parade.

When you business plan is often fraud, maybe you start to see fraud everywhere. Also: Fidel Castro: nice try 2016, but that in no way makes up for the rest of your BS. (- MattPie)

I was thinking of this the other day, a friends dad and I were talking about cars and he has a really nice 96 Roadmaster with the LS1 in it.

8 bells I happened to catch Zadorov take a hooking penalty the other night on HNIC. Points: as someone pointed out, Gorges is directly affected by the team not scoring. He never generates offense anyways, but he's not getting points via the Larry Carriere method (give the puck to Gil behind the net, who then skates through everyone and scores). I think we'll see some assists when Eichel returns. PIM: Gorges tasked with containing the other teams' top-line players is going to result in penalties. He can't keep up so he has to find less-legal methods. I doubt he was playing with Subban in MTL, so he wasn't getting the other teams' best.

Last I saw in the Pu thread, his OHL pace translates to something like 40 points in the NHL. If that's the Sabres future depth, I'm really happy. I'd be surprised if more than a handful of teams have a guy over 30 points/yr in the bottom 6. One data point, the top-scoring team (Goals-for) in the NHL last year, the Dallas Stars, had six forwards and two D over 30 points last year. They also had three more forwards at 29 points. If the statistical average for OHL to NHL holds for Pu, he is a solid NHL player for bottom-6, maybe second line. He's apparently playing PK so he's not terrible defensively.

My pleasure! XRDP is a bit confusing; I remember having a tough time figuring out where the current version is due to the "original" version (0.6.1, or so) was the last and then someone else kept working on it up to 0.9.0 or something. If it's in your package manager, use that. I'm still building RPMs from sources I had to hack up to work, but I think the current version is in EPEL for Redhat/Centos; I really need to test that and migrate so I can get away from my homebrew. I'm not sure about Ubuntu-based stuff, we don't use that at work. (Someone feel free to complain that that is one seriously jargon-filled post)

Check out X2go or XRDP, we use both for remote access. If you're looking for something more like webex, I think Bluejeans works well on Linux (Redhat uses it for their meetings). https://www.bluejeans.com/

Jeet? No, Jyou? (within the first minute) That's more NE PA than NW PA (and I've posted it here before). Heyna is "eh" for Canadians. I think there's a joke to be made about "eh-bonics" now that I think of it.

It's been tried before with the Iridium project in the late 90s (and still going). That hasn't been a commercial success, almost all the sales end up with the US government. The problem is the user terminals and phones for Iridium are on the big side, and this proposal has the satellites twice as far out. Maybe the technology has advanced enough that the launch costs and space hardware drag the costs down, but I don't think the phones will be small enough for most people to give up their current models. Iridium is also pretty expensive to subscribe, I think it's something like $1000/month. I'd love to see it happen on a less expensive scale, not so much now, but I used to ride a lot and end up out of cell coverage. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridium_satellite_constellation
