  1. I voted no. It's the Buffalo coming out where what I want to happen will not.
  2. Somehow, I don't think the Sabres are going to be a point per game, or last year's total.
  3. Betty White is older than sliced bread.
  4. Bold strategy, consider he may be proven wrong in a couple weeks.
  5. Tonight may not be the night to make that claim. Jersey: Eichel has to be considered. As Taro termed it, the three R's would be next. After that, how would the kid feel if the player isn't on the team three years from now? I'm not sure I'd guarantee many other players on the team this year will be. (Serious comment, if he sees some oddball jersey as cool a lesser known player might work; otherwise, I'm not sure you can stray too far from Eichel and the R's.) For me, Eichel or Risto, probably Risto just to be "different" from the Eichel cliche.
  6. I don't think GMTM/HDDCRGDDB are as down on Gorges as the fans. Larsssssson is a steep price to get Vegas to take Ennis; I hope GMTM doesn't toss assets with what, picks coming back? Ennis isn't much of an asset, but I think Larsson has some value. More value than Erod, in my eyes.
  7. The problem I have with all this is within Penn State circles people were so loose-lipped that everyone just *had* to know what was going on; Benson, the Pegulas, the janitor, etc., but yet none of these people were loose-lipped enough to blab to the wrong person or sell out their friends to save their own skins. Which is it? Like I said above, if there's real evidence out there, take it to the police or a reporter; they'll jump on it. If it's all "they must have known" and conspiracy theories, please stop hinting around on a sports message board.
  8. My current schedule is working 8, 9-hour days and one 8-hour day over two weeks and having every other Friday off. It's kinda awesome, but the extra hour seems to really drag on each day. A previous job did 4-9s and a 4, and even then I didn't take advantage of it that often.
  9. Based on the numbers, I'd bet on worse right now.
  10. Doh. For some reason, I though the Sabres were in the high 50s each of the tank seasons.
  11. When I was a kid, I asked my dad, "Do you know how to weld?" (there is a welder in our garage, after all). His response was, "well, I know how to make pieces of metal stick together.". It's something I'd like to learn, but realistically based on my practical carpentry and other skill levels I'm not sure I'd be that good at it.
  12. I don't remember what I had, but I'd bet it was watered down American Market. Yum! :)
  13. Bisongrass vodka is pretty good, FWIW.
  14. Gamecenter usually gets blacked out though, which is annoying for me.
  15. Maybe's it's because the curve on the hockey stick forces you one way once you're chosen. I suppose you could mess people up by having different sticks, but I'm not sure anyone would notice on the ice. How do girls figure it out?
  16. And the Sabres advance to the next round of the playoffs!
  17. I have a tough time seeing 5 of 8 points to match. But, small sample size.
  18. Sabres need 5 of the remaining 8 points to match last year's 81 points. Over a full season, that's a 102-point pace. Also, Colorado's Max Points right now is 51. That's terrible on a level we can't even fathom.
  19. I feel bad about this: Connor McPeanut. Because he's brittle. If only we had a high-draft pick Center behind ROR and Eichel that could anchor a third line.
  20. Nah: Kane - ROR - Ennis Foligno - Eichel - Reinhart CJ Smith - Carrier - Gionta Moulson - Girgensons - Nylander
  21. Slashing is probably better now than it used to be. When was the last time you saw something like these?
  22. Seems like we've been hearing this for at least 20 years (Matt Barnaby, anyone?). It's starting to suspiciously sound like "in my day, kids didn't walk on other people's lawns".
  23. Didn't read on here somewhere the in Pittsburgh, he did exactly that? The top 2 lines played one system, bottom two played another.
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the crossbar is the standard for touching a puck on a goal, but playing the puck during play (not leading to a goal) is the player's shoulders. Handedness: My Dad told me he tried to "make" me ambidextrous when I was little by making me play with various things with both hands. My Mom didn't want me to be left-handed; I guess that superstition (left being the DEVIL'S HAND) dies hard. I'm pretty right-handed, and in my brief hockey playing experience I shot right. My Dad was a somewhat serious beer/work league player, he taught himself to shoot left despite being righty.
