Kassian trade paying big dividends right now for Oilers...
MattPie replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
I made a seafood pizza once, and it wasn't bad. Old Bay red sauce, mozz, and shrimp. It needed some work, but I think it could be a thing. -
Essentially, it's a "clean" version of Android that you load onto your phone, replacing the original build that the manufacturer put on it. I've put it on a couple old devices (under it's old CyanogenMod name) and it seems good. It's possible to brick the device doing it, so you want to do you homework. Additionally, device manufacturers will sometimes lock the phone so you can use it (or other similar software). I'm no expert on this stuff; my day-to-day phone is too precious to me to mess with so I've only done it on obsolete hardware. I'm kinda confused: Amazon it popping up full-screen adds on the phone itself, or only some apps?

I'm not sure which version of Moto G that is, but LineageOS (formerly CyanogenMod) has a clean android build for it. https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/

WGR's Marketing Dept. earned their money today!

Anyone have a tracker on the ByslmaBeige4cylCamry to see if he's in Buffalo?
-
I think you're joking, but no. Eichel had to go find the puck, that thing hit the streaking player on the tape.
-
Looking more like James Comey, really.

Wowxzers. It sounds a bit punk, but realistically if my boss told me they were moving everything at work to Windows, I'd be looking at other employment too. Life's too short for that.

There could be spin there. Eichel is nearly untouchable. Gionta probably wants to play hockey next year, and may not have a chance if he ends up being the old Vet that's throwing his Coach under the bus.

Not nervous, resigned maybe. But it's still Tuesday. Friday, I give up.

Straight on the grill works too, BTW. Actually, you can buy the local crappy pizza here, doctor it up a bit, put it on the grill for a bit, and then eat. -
That would be fun, a long as Kane can be convinced to pass to Reinhart. It seems like he's finally learning to use teammates at times.

So, Sabres lost, Vancouver Lost, Edmonton won their trade. I'm not sure where else he played (Mtl?). That's assuming he continues being effective, of course. -
Update: Sabres sign D Man Viktor Antipin to 1yr ELC
MattPie replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
If I'm Antipin, I have to seriously consider going somewhere that's going to make me look the best for the second contract. If he comes here and struggles with the long pass for a year or two, it could cost him meeeeeellions. -

Buffalo is either going to have to offer a lot more money, or have some sort of promise about the system in place to get Antipin here. If this guy is as good as people are talking about, he'll have offers from teams that suit is style better. -
GM Tim Murray - Time for a serious conversation

Seems to be working for Toronto! -
I think I have a little equity in my house, and I better call that guy in San Diego that keeps trying to recruit me!

I'm not sure that follows. Taking one conference, let's see one division is complete terrible, the other is good. The top 5 teams in the good division (GD) are in the playoffs taking both WC slots; let's say every team of those 5 are better than every one of the 3 in the bad division (BD), but those 3 are better than the remaining 3 in the good division (the must have lost a lot to the 5 juggernauts). So the conference standings are 1-5 GD, 6-8 BD by points. in this case, the "old" seeding would be (only two divisions instead of three): 1-8, 6-7, 2-5 , 3-4. The new seeding is 1-5, 6-4, 2-3, 7-8. I'm not seeing a huge difference there. Each has one series of 5-8 teams and one series of 1-4 teams.

That might be just the way he talks, too. I commonly say things like, "hey, my key worked this morning, I must still have a job" and "I hope I can get this task done before they fire me".

My system goes to 11
-
That's what I would say. I think that's what Babcock is doing; play the "right" way even if the D is tire fire and we'll see where the chips fall.

I posted this awhile back but it boils down to a few things: - Byslma has changed things that in his mind make it different, but to the observer they look the same. - He wanted to change things, but when met with adversity, he went to his happy place. - He doesn't feel like the team is good enough to play the new system, so he's relying on the old until roster changes happen and he can unleash the Byslmatic 2.0 on unsuspecting NHL clubs. My argument for the third bullet is that's playing scared. Maybe in a playoff series you do that to tailor it to a particular teams' strengths and weaknesses, but you should be playing the ideal system in the regular season to get the players on the right page.

Hypothetically, Hischier or Patrick make Reinhart expendable?

I could see Sam around 20 goals, 45 assists in the right situation. That's nothing to scoff at. He's getting there in year 2 with 17 and 30 this year in what people are calling "bad". He's #116 of 888 in points this season for skaters, #50 in centers. , around guys named Vanek, Pominville, Silvrferburg, Hossa, and Jagr. He's not going to be Jack Flash, but to dismiss him now is silly. I keep Sam, get him to center, and trade the high pick if it comes for a slightly lower or D prospect. I'm not rolling the dice that The next pick will match that.
