I wonder how many season tickets they have booked; Buffalo has something like 16000, so there's only a few thousand available for sale. Unless that number counts tickets that STH declined to purchase months ago.

This may be one of those times you can troll your ex and be correct too.

Romper: amazing what a few hours on a sewing machine, a few more with some guys and a camera, and the internet can do. I have a really hard time believing that those photos are any different than this: And if people want to wear them? Good for them, wear what makes you happy and f' the haters.

Ville Leino Sweater depicts time in Buffalo as "Jail"

I still don't read "It wasn't working with me and the team" as calling the team out. Also, the idea that a 6 year $27M contract ($4.5M/yr) was a big ticket item seems so quaint now. :) -
I'm sure if this belongs here, in the music thread, or it's own. Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans, a parody concept album put to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. (link is the first song, the whole album is there if you watch on youtube)

If Rutherford fired Bylsma in 2014, he should have won in 2015. :)

On a side note, Binghamton had the B-Rags years ago so it was a mix of Sabres and Rangers fans. Bingo is halfway between NYC and Buffalo, so that would make sense anyway. There are a lot of Ott'wa fans now with the B-Sens having been there for a number of years. Empire Sports was on my cable package and in-market so I could catch all the games.

It must be too long since I left Buffalo, the idea that it was Buffalo-specific didn't even occur to me. I took it entirely as being trapped in a jail of his own failure to meet expectations and issues dealing with that failure. -

There are (or at least used to be) several guys in the NHL that didn't score goals over the course of the season, guys like old-school stay at home D and 4th line enforcers. I won't say Mr. 58 wouldn't score, but guys that are only a few steps from top of the world aren't doing it, I don't have a lot of hope for him. I ran the numbers quickly; there are 11 guys that played 41 or more games this year that didn't score a goal. Buffalo-related names are Nicky D-Lo, Derek Grant, Justin Falk, and Zadorov. 9 of the 11 played more than 9 minutes/game, and 6 played more than 13 minutes/game. There are another 24 guys that scored one. -

Perhaps he felt like he owed Buffalo to be better, and didn't want to give up. I know from experience one of the worst feelings in life is that you can do better, but every time you try it doesn't actually turn out any better. -

I used to feel that way about working with computers. Now I do it every day all day and there's a lot of stuff I'd rather be doing. -

I am. Being miserable at work is being miserable at work, no matter how much you're getting paid. I don't wish that on anyone. -
If you break it down, I'm not sure it works: - Kane to LV for Scandella to BUF - Murray to BUF for 2 2nds to CBJ - LV gets Ennis as a straight up expansion draft pick - LV gets Hartnell essentially as an expansion draft pick. Do the first two trades make sense?

Yep, sure is funny to laugh at other people's misery. Always cracks me up. -
Anyone notice something about that D system? It's the perfect counter to Byslma's system. The three forwards are covered man to man in the neutral zone and the single forechecker can pressure the D. The D have to make a long pass, which either connects to a forward with someone on his back *and* D support coming; the forward only has two guys that are covered to pass to. If the puck gets by, the back D can go fetch it before the forwards can get there. It doesn't even strike me as hard to defend that way.

Update: Sabres sign D Man Viktor Antipin to 1yr ELC
MattPie replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Some other NHL team needs to sign a guy named "Pin", just so RJ can make the call, "Oooohhhhhh, and Antipin just annihilated Pin!" -
Am I doing this right?

I'm not sure what you mean, I've gotten a bunch of leads from this place over the years; sure, there's lots of classic rock talk but there's a bunch of gems too. It's a parallel to the discussion just above where there is a *ton* of great music being made right now, and often a couple clicks away. You have to wade through butt rock chat and NS's ridiculous takes to find the diamonds in the rough. :)

i think I mentioned up somewhere, but AGSFB and Asteroids Galaxy Tour should be something you check out. Perhaps the Ting Tings too, but only if you like some of the Debbie Harry Blondie "rap" songs, with more yelling.

These days it's generally whatever "Today's Pop Hits" that's on because my wife and daughter are dancing in the living room. I enjoy it enough that I don't always turn it off when they go somewhere. I don't really have a single bubblegum guilty pleasure band, unless you want to count All-Girl Summer Fun Band; #AGSFB rocks! Current song: Coldcut's Atomic Moog 2000 (Post Nuclear Afterlife Lounge Mix); something about that little bell melody that winds it's way through this song in it's many remixes just speaks to me.
