  1. I have the opposite problem: I have them every so often, but never a truly good one. There are a lot of I-talian pizza/sub/cheesesteak places around here, but none of the have sauce I like. Maybe if I headed to Philly proper, but I'm not driving 40+ miles for a chance at a sandwich.
  2. Let's not get crazy here.
  3. Nah, at this stage of the season win or point streak of 4-5 games makes a huge difference.
  4. That's fair. I think his skill isn't flying around the ice like Eichel, but a lot more subtle. We've seen some of the great passes and vision, but so far it's not clicking and turning into goals. He's a skill player. I want to see more too.
  5. I'd have pulled him, just to get some practice in that situation.
  6. Update after 11 games. The Sabres have lost 14 points (6 losses, 2 OT), so they sit at 56 points remaining. To reach 94 for the season, they need to manage 1.21 points per game, or a 99.3-point place over 82 games. That's 6 points per 5 game block, 3-2-0 or 2-1-2.
  7. For instance, Stamkos has regularly had more goals than assists; this year he's 3-17-20 so far though. You can run a line in different ways; two wings who feed the center makes some sense in you have sniper at C, or the LW making plays to the C and RW works too if you have that mix of players.
  8. I'll never fault a skill player for being physical. At 6'1" and 200 lbs, he's average sized but big enough that if he gets the hang of using his body that'll just make him better in the long run. I'm willing to wait a bit to see how it pans out.
  9. I approve of this message.
  10. I can say a limited number of things in German: - Mein Lieben! (Thanks Wolfenstein!) - Dumkopf! - Ich bin einen Berliner. (which I understand means "I am a doughnut") - Scheisse.
  11. Ich bin eine Middelstadter!
  12. Middelstadt translates to Middle City. Do you think it'd go over everyone's head if he got a population count like Pominville?
  13. In the other thread, someone (d4rk?) pointed out teams are keying on stopping the Eichel one timer from the Left faceoff dot. That was a fair bit of the success last year. The Sabres need to adjust.
  14. If I remember right from the time, the Japanese version was a lot better.

    FTFY.
  16. I thought we were done squeezing out excrement jokes, but then comes this nugget!
  17. Holy cow, that's some nice stuff. I went to Hearne Hardwood's open house a few weeks ago and that would have fetched a pretty penny. http://hearnehardwoods.com/
  18. Fixed! :)
  19. RosePIe loves Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. Grandma, Grandpa, Dada (me), and Mama all went today and she was absolutely thrilled. The "farm" is a kind of a gigantic, farm-themed playground. Stacks of hay bales to play on, a big slide on a hill, pig races, petting zoo, corn maze, etc. http://www.cherrycrestfarm.com/Attractions/
  20. Any time a person generalizes "the music scene today" into any negative pigeonhole, they're just showing that they don't bother to look for any interesting music. There is SO MUCH GOOD MUSIC being made today, both with analog and digital instruments, you're not trying very hard if you're not finding it.
  21. I keep forgetting to mention Lore. I started listening to the Lore podcast awhile back and it's one of my favorites. It's historical scary stories (apropos for this month) in quick (generally 20-30 minute) tellings. Lots of unexplained monsters, crazy people, etc., but all "true" (at least as reported to authorities, etc.). Amazon Prime has made a TV series out of it, and I need to get watching! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lore_(podcast)
  22. Yeah, you know me.
  23. opp I think it's opponents' forwards pp time. So Girgs is out 5v5 against the forwards on the opponent PP more often than anyone else. The idea (I think) is he's out against the offensive players and therefore harder matchups.
  24. NS works for the NSAA, the Canadian version of the NSA, eh?
