yes, absolutely agreed. Was waiting for a follow up question of "what do you want from Santa this year?"
-
Fantasy football/sports betting is some kind of an issue, I guess, but not a burning issue that warranted a question during a presidential debate. And yes, I get that Christie is a 'Boys fan and a buddy of Jerrah, but this is hardly a concern of those without a job or living paycheck to paycheck.
-
that would the correct answer sir, or you could go all Jeb Bush and blithely brag how you are 7-0 in FF this year; very Presidential, Mr. Bush, very Presidential.....
-
I agree with you Neo, esp. the premise of media boogeymen creating "gotcha" politics; but is it fair to expect any candidate, left or right, to simply answer the questions when some questions are blatantly irrelevant, provocative, or utter nonsense ?
-
I can agree with this. The liberal bias card is overused in toto and I was in error for making that part of my opinion. But please - if you see a post with an opinion you disagree with, ask yourself if you need to call it a rant. That word carries a negative connotation denoting someone who goes on and on and on with no rhyme or reason. I made a single point about liberal bias being a reason why debate stunk, and I was incorrect for doing so. "to speak or declaim extravagantly or violently; talk in a wild or vehement way" - is this what I really did?

real questions as in should the Federal Government do anything about Fantasy Football ? The RNC is pissed b/c CNBC did not ask real questions and tried to get the candidates to turn on each other, which backfired - not to mention they went off the reservation vs. what they had originally agreed to You call it a rant; I call it offering an opinion. And mine was not the "right" information? The moderators made it about themselves and lost control & credibility with their lines of questioning. And that's a fact. and for the record, I'm not whining; I'm lamenting a lost opportunity for the viewers to come away with some educated takeaways. This "debate" was a poorly executed event by CNBC. I just hope the remaining debates, both Democrat & Republican, are worthwhile - but as a lot of people on this board have commented, these debates are mostly posturing - on both sides.

CNBC = owned by NBC

I can totally see how this letter (and other outspoken comments made by the Repub. campaigns) can be interpreted as whining. IMHO, that's the easy route to take. The bigger point, and the bigger picture, is that the MSNBC debate was supposed to be focused on the economy, each candidate's positions to improve the job market & debt crisis, etc. etc. Any objective observer of any political affiliation would opine MSNBC missed the mark - badly. Moreover, a real opportunity was lost for the viewer to discern real policy position differences. So the real loser was the American who wants to be educated. And it's no coincidence that Democrats were critical of MSNBC as well; their brand was arguably damaged by overt, undeniable, seemingly coordinated instances of liberal media bias. I cannot be certain the moderators conspired to do what they did, but it certainly appeared as if they did. d

I agree with your premise = plus I give you props for use of the word "portmanteau" in your post which you have parlayed particularly properly ...... I think the LaFontaine goal call was my personal fave

I agree to a point on the rebound control; that's what caused the pens 3rd goal. However, in the Philly game he let in an unscreened wrister which tipped the top of his glove. That's a must-save, IMO- 495 replies

agreed - great guidance; Vanguard has been a safe play for me. They are very transparent and led by founder and ex-CEO John Bogle; very well-respected https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_C._Bogle

correction; a more stupid question was on whether the Fed should regulate Fantasy Football; sounds like CNBC has been smoking some of this Colorado weed.

Marijuana as a possible revenue stream is a serious debate question? WTF

FIXED ..... And some of these questions have been atrocious, as pointed out by Cruz.
