  1. That's exactly what the preseason is for.
  2. Any trade restrictions are clauses that favor the player. If anyone is giving up something to get that, it would be Dahlin. But anyway, the black Dahlin jersey I bought a couple weeks ago is looking really good right now.
  3. And it's only a risk for a small number of players. Metsa would have to sign an ELC, so a team could sign him and then immediately stash him in the AHL. A veteran would have to clear waivers immediately to be sent down. So if you're signing that guy, you probably need an NHL roster spot ready for him. We've seen it so many times over the years where another team will claim someone to block a mid-season signing.
  4. Yeah, the career screams builder to me. The first item in my google search is this. I didn't listen yet, but that seems pretty telling.
  5. The thing that sucks is that the AHL cba isn’t publicly available. Google searches aren’t helping either. I can’t find any documentation to back up either side of the argument here, but I’m also fairly certain that your take take is the correct one.
  6. And let’s face it, one guy making an extra half million is not going to be crippling the cap.
  7. Ahhh, the older brother of Red Green (I’m not joking). I knew there had to be someone. But wow, a 4 year career got him into the hall. And bonus points for playing in two countries.
  8. That’s not the question. Hell, we have Perreault who made the hall of fame and only played here. I’m looking for hall of famers who spent their entire careers with one team that relocated. So Sakic in Quebec/Colorado.
  9. Yeah, there’s plenty in #1. I don’t really care about that portion. I only outlined it in that order because I wasn’t sure how best to word it. Sakic has to be the only one, unless there’s some crazy situation from the early NHL days. Maybe Doan sneaks in, but I just don’t see it happening.
  10. Beyond that, I’m willing to take Granato at his word that Bryson has in fact been much better in camp. At the end of the day, we’re complaining about a guy who is going to be in the press box most nights. I still wouldn’t be surprised if Johnson gets off to a good start and winds up shuttling back and forth to Rochester throughout the year.
  11. And it also removes a home game from the bills’ schedule. If Jacksonville wants to play over there so badly, they should be losing the home games.
  12. Kingsley Jonathan sounds like the name of a guy playing in England.
  13. And here we are, ready to hand over this keys to the kingdom to the 21 year old.
  14. Male nurse? That's perfectly acceptable.
  15. Remember when they signed his brother to an AHL deal but then he never actually came over?
  16. It would be 7 D. You have Stillman in the press box but can easily call up Johnson if there's an injury and a spot opens up in the lineup.
  17. That's pretty much what it is, except its diagonally across the shoulder.
  18. Fortunately Johnson can be #7 all while playing in Rochester. Stick with 22 players and they can call him up to play whenever they want. The travel needs to work out right, but there are ways to work around that (ie. calling him up a day in advance for a road trip).
  19. Wait, he's playing? That would be one crazy turnaround after just starting to practice... then you mix in the unusual travel
  20. Here's my personal favorite that happens to me each weekend. When I try to watch highlights of the Bills game on my phone, I immediately get an ad as a start the video. Once that's done and I click on the button to go to full screen and then it immediately goes to another add. It will also go to an add if I just rotate the phone to view horizontally. I can never actually get them to run full screen because this causes an infinite loop. And it is the same exact ad each time. And my own complain, or maybe just a head scratching observation. I've been noticing a ton of man purses lately when I run to the store. Are those pocketless sweatpants that important that they have to resort to the man purse?
  21. Barefoot
  22. You get all the fun stuff and then leave at the end of the day.
  23. I miss the good old days where you would just click on a link after walking 5 miles to and from school, uphill both ways.
  24. I went with a mostly loaded up version of a Rogue back in June, my first car since 2011. That's pretty much the SUV version of the altima, so I'd imagine we have pretty much identical interiors. I've been very happy with it. I also enjoy the fact that they assume I already have more than double my current mileage. I won't have to be visiting that service department any time soon.
  25. I'll give him credit. That entire rant was way more coherent than most tend to be.
