I’d also like to add that football games were only played in January on fields shaped like a U. You had to drive for a touchdown uphill in the snow both ways.

When they said that the lions last won a playoff game over 30 years ago, I had the shocking realization that the early 90s were 30 years ago.

That stat convinced me to look at the list of all time winning streaks. There were more older ones than I would have expected. The shoot out era really watered it down a ton. I have no idea what to think about he ones from the 1920s.

And what’s the only thing the league really cares with any of these games? People watching it. What makes for better tv than an atmosphere where you can’t see a thing. That’s rating gold right there.

It’s such a rare thing to have a game postponed. I wonder if they actually have any rules/protocol for this. Back in my day, players were allowed head hunt and maim, whatever they wanted to do. Expecting everyone to walk out alive and healthy… these kids today are so soft.

Will the d-bags in that market be able to tolerate the time it will take and not turn on Vrabel right away? I do think he’s their guy, but if I’m him, I’m skeptical about taking that job. There are better options and he should be right near the top of the list of head coach options.
