I’m looking for the elite goalies. Your suggestions for the current best, those are just laughable (I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing at Canada). All the Levi mentions earlier, those are so ridiculously premature. He’s not a part of the discussion right now. Long story short, Canada is not producing goalies. I’d love to know why.

Which brings up an interesting question. Who is the best goalie today that came out of major junior? I’m scratching my head on this one. Edit: I’m guessing there’s a random euro I can’t think of.

I know there's been a couple jokes here about Granato coaching the Amerks, but that's exactly where he belongs. I hope he catches on somewhere in the AHL. He should be developing guys.

I'm still hoping he returns to the team as equipment manager. Edit: I think they made the right call on McKee though. He hit a wall almost immediately after leaving.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Housley finds his way back to a head coaching job at some point. He’s got the associate job with the rags right now. People will come calling with a little more success there. And Bylsma is racking up the wins with Coachella Valley in the AHL. Seattle hasn’t hired anyone yet, right? and right as I start googling I find this.

I don’t know if anyone else is in cicada country right now, but just imagine if you could suddenly somehow see all of them up in the trees. Out here it has sounded like a fire alarm has been going off for around 10 days straight… so far.

But when you lose the same way back to back years and have an owner who is notorious for not wanting to spend off the ice, things can get interesting.
