They also need tackles. That plan yesterday was a necessity.

Not just stop turning over the ball, but also start to get a few from our defense. We have Allen and Cook trying to do too much. Once the D got that first turnover (it sure did help that it got them 6), the weight of the world was off their shoulders and the fun began.

Predictably unstoppable. You wouldn’t think those two words should go together, yet there was every single Kotalik shootout attempt. People are throwing around the idea that the team wants to play better in front of Ellis and not UPL. I feel like the numbers say the exact opposite. UPL has the worse save percentage but the best goals against average. I’m. It going to dive much deeper, but that to me says he’s facing the least amount of shots of the 3. But yeah, as you’re suggesting here, it’s mostly a wash across the board. We have 3 of the same guy, at least statistically. -

Kotalik used to shelf backhands all the time. I don’t see the connection. -

I’ll take a shoot out win where the goalie doesn’t make a single save. Was there even a single save from the whole thing? I forget if Tuch shot wide or not. -
Mattias Samuelsson cleared concussion protocol as of Nov 29

If I’m following this correctly, no penalty was called at all, right? You can’t expect refs to randomly call a major penalty in a spot where they didn’t think anything happened at all. Fix the system, fine, but I don’t want refs just creating penalties out of thin air under any circumstances. That’s a recipe for disaster… it would probably satisfy the gambling overlords though. -

I don’t see the game, but they only review if it has already been called a major. -

Is there anyone left without one at this point? Maybe two guys? -

He had to do it… but now never again please. -
So they even have an actual camp? I just assumed it was nothing more than a couple attention grabbing press releases.

It’s not a thought, it’s something that has actually been sone for years on this board.

You’ve been around here for over 10 years and never realized that we typically do complaint Wednesday this one week of the year?
-
Or when it comes to the eastern conference this year, there are no good teams.
-
In honor of the annual complaint Wednesday, no sooner than when I finished telling my wife how bad of an idea it is to let our 1 year old walk around with a glass snack bowl, she then dropped and broke the glass cake stand she was washing. I hate those moments where you have to bite your tongue.

A generation’s best player tends to live in the heads of just about everyone.
-
Yeah, you’ll keep pushing some random Moosehead player on everyone the whole time.
-
And then we draft one and we’re all screwed. Thank god the team avoided Pommenstein when he was draft eligible in 2021.

I thought it would be worthwhile, but Rosen is a common name without the accent.
-
Did we ever actually find out what happened to Norris?
-
Is it rare though? I’m thinking that idea is born out of the media’s quick rush to declare a winner before the player has even thrown in the new jersey.

Has anyone else in here ever stood by Bourque’s table at a bar chanting “May day”? The place was too loud and I doubt he heard me, but in my mind I could see a single tear drop running down his cheek.

@Taro T, personally I think stud defenseman is the hardest position to replace. Right from the start, it’s a simple numbers game, being down 1 of 6 skaters vs 1 of 12. He’s out there for around 6 more minutes a game than any of the forwards. Id love to see similar stats on the other elite defenseman… if they’ve missed more than a handful of games. I’m guessing the drop off is very noticeable, maybe to a lesser extent with Makar.

I’m sure there’s a “Kesselring hasn’t played, so it’s a bust” article out there somewhere. Just give it some time.
