Trade: C Ryan McLeod - Oilers for Matt Savoie
shrader replied to tom webster's topic in The Aud Club
Expecting linear development? I’m not even sure what that means. That’s not a thing when you really only have one time point. But anyway, it’s mostly just about expecting any growth. There’s more potential in him than there is with probably any other kid on this team. People are going to dream and dream big. -

He was talked up as potentially the best goal scorer of his draft class. He put up 52 in his draft season. @Thorny, he was ahead of Peterka prior to the injury and JJ just put up 28 last year. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that he should surpass him again if/when healthy. Those 9 goals, by the way, were in only 27 games. That projects out to 27 over a full season. 30 should be easily within grasp, again, if/when healthy. -
And then there are deadline deals.

So does that mean he's already found your wife and he's now the pool man?

Zegras, Farabee, Greenway… is it only BU guys who can be moved at this point?
-
I really don’t know how much of that was Granato. I’d put good money on the thought that they had one of those handshake deals with Levi that he wouldn’t be sent to the minors if he signed. It takes a while to finally get to that point where you convince him “hey kid, this move is in your own best interest”.

After last offseason, I don’t trust a single word said about Winnipeg. -
His obsession with Levi is very clearly established at this point.

I’ll be curious to hear any info on the throw in guy. This isn’t a case where teams need to even out the number of contracts… unless Edmonton and other moves have put them close to the limit. -

They sure are focusing on that lousy team defense we’ve seen for so many years. -
Too? Did I miss some other deal?

I haven't looked at the full roster, but was he the old guy out there at this point?
-
But then if a player is just using that their party to get what he wants, does that team really want to potentially waste their time on it? The whole thing is a vicious cycle.
-
It’s not just the GMs though. Does a player want to put in the time negotiating a deal with someone and then not even wind up playing for them? I think that attitude is a big part of it from both sides.

And no one remembers the coaches.

Women aren’t going to be all over the nhl now or ever. Right off the bat, they cannot fill the most seen rolls omin the game, those on the ice.

I don’t think it belongs in the discussion with those two. This is not going to change the sport.

Reinhart was always praised for his hockey IQ. -
Wait, Tarasenko going to Detroit is setting people off now? Go have a beer or something.

Is Adams rebuild the Regier rebuild, just starting about 9 years later?

Go big or go home.
