  1. I picked up a couple at target this past Christmas. They were placing new stickers on every card at the register and then scanning those. The guy told me it was to prevent fraud. So I guess at least target has figured it out.
  2. Is the covid year in there at all?
  3. If you come down for a game in Raleigh, I won’t be there.
  4. I think the better question is why people get so irrationally upset about a Rochester signing. Edit: And a Rochester signing 16 days into free agency.
  5. This conversation annoyed me. Wife: Eliza fell out of her crib this morning. Mother-in-law: How did she do that? Wife: She climbed out. Mother-in-law: Obviously. You asked the stupid question. You don't get to respond with attitude (trust me, it was there) when you get the blatantly obvious answer.
  6. That's the part I've been wondering about the whole time. It's not a CBA issue, it's a transfer agreement issue.
  7. That's a fun translation.
  8. I'm not even sure I've seen an ATM that holds the card for a long time now. All of the bank of americas here have use the tap now. I'm pretty sure that if you do insert the card, it spits it back out right away. And there's no possible way inkman can twist that last sentence into some sort of innuendo.
  9. So why are they playing there at 16 or 17?
  10. Should I look up when they play here in NC even though I know I won't go?
  11. You do realize that he has pretty much next to nothing to do with these deals, right?
  12. I guess there should be a level of naivety there. He played there last season, but they had another game in Minnesota two days later, so they were out of there right away. He didn't have any time to experience it.
  13. But he did choose to sign that multi-year contract there.
  14. That's not exactly how it works though. Alex Nylander was a CHL guy too, but since he was "on loan" (I forget if that's the proper language) from his Swedish team, he wound up in the AHL immediately after being drafted. Mrtka was with a pro Czech team last year too.
  15. Maybe I'm just old, but that post confuses the hell out of me.
  16. Too lazy to read. Is he Rochester eligible? I have no idea exactly when he crossed the ocean.
  17. I get the rest of the list, but Ott? Man, there's a career that fell off the face of the earth the second he left Dallas. I don't really think that was a Sabre effect, but more of a "this guy is toast".
  18. Pacioretty will be lucky to get to 40 games during the season. I wouldn't expect him to be hitting many incentives unless they're so incredibly basic. But anyway, I'm not interested in him. I bet he winds up as a PTO somewhere.
  19. So how is Salt Lake City anyway? I've been in the airport, but that's it.
  20. None in the last three years definitely kills my thought. I mean, maybe 3 years after those guys have flamed out they can go this route, but they’re definitely not earning a job after that.
  21. They can sign him right now if they want to, right? I know there was a post-January limitation if you’re on a one-way deal, but I have no idea if that’s may have changed with the previous updates. I haven’t paid close enough attention to see if any of next year’s free agents around the league have gotten any new deals yet.
