If they're actually pushing this as the end of the Skywalker story, that makes it pretty clear that a very specific person has to die in the movie. Unless there's some kids we haven't been introduced to, there's only one left from that bloodline.

He's been in broadcasting for a longer time than his playing career at this point. I'm amazed if people are just figuring out now that he's lousy. There's a reason that CBS took him out of the booth and put him on the sidelines.

I don't see it as booing Luck. To me, they're booing the news more than anything. It's less of a "we hate you Andrew Luck" and more of a "oh crap, we're going to suck again".

I just found them through the one Buffalo site. I've seen worse, namely on the NHL shop page. I'm glad I found my way to that site though. They actually do have an option for a royal blue hat (bonus points for none of the silver/gray in the logo). The picture makes it look like it's got some weird blue on blue camo pattern going though, which throws me off a bit. Edit: And all this stuff with the buffalo but no crossing swords? That thing looks really awkward without them.

What if you sign him late in the year if the team is flirting with a playoff spot and could use some depth? You save those 10-15 good games for the stretch run. It may not be here, but I could see some team in the league taking this approach. We typically see some of these kind of guys signed right around trade deadline time.
-
For me, I wouldn't say it's the site. Sports apparel as a whole today just doesn't seem to mesh with my tastes. Maybe royal blue will help, at least when it comes to the Sabres.

And let's face it, a lot of these guys with low ice time but decent scoring numbers aren't usually seeing as much ice time in a defensive role. You give them more of that time and obviously the scoring rate decreases.

I need a new hat, but I saved 100% because I'm not crazy about any of the selection they have on the site.
-
Which is interesting given that we often see players compared using points per 60 minutes 5-on-5. The most recent one coming to mind was the Kase kid from Anaheim coming up in trade proposals last week.

My statement that I thought the movie kind of sucked is false? Well I guess you know my own thoughts better than I do.
-
It's espn, isn't it? Anyway, that annual thing is just... strange.
-
The wingman fired? I never noticed that. Then again, I may block out a lot of details from that movie because I thought it mostly sucked.

He was one bit of stupid writing away from killing his mother though.

Well at least I've heard of one of those three people. And as for Carl Weathers, I'm just glad to see that he found work again and can stop rummaging through the Bluth's trash.

While we're naming days of the week:

It seems like the kind of thing that could happen mid-season.

Sending a guy like that down to the minors against his wishes is a dangerous move. If things get ugly, you better believe that other players notice it. If you treat a well respected guy poorly, the next guy is going to be reluctant to sign a contract and will look elsewhere. I know we're all thinking Moulson when we talk this scenario, but that move was done in cooperation with him. It's all probably a moot point when it comes to Kesler though. He has a no movement clause, so he has to agree to be sent to the minors. I say "probably" because I'm not completely sure if waiving the NMC to allow a trade also removes the AHL portion of that clause for any future moves.

Why do people continue to use the term buffaslug? Sluggalo makes so much more sense and rolls off the tongue.
-
Unless he wants to play. That could throw a monkey wrench into the whole thing.

You do run into the game of being below the cap before placing them on LTIR like Toronto is playing right now. It’s a headache that would probably be great to avoid if possible. @Randall Flagg, it’s all a matter of semantics, but superstar and elite are interchangeable in my head. I hear that term and I think of the top tier immediately.
-
The hyperbole seems a bit over the top there. I realize it's subjective, I have a hard time labeling 36th in points per 60 minutes 5-on-5 as elite. I'm not exactly sure where I'd place the line, but 36 would definitely be behind it. People tend to go a bit too far in justifying the prospects/younger guys.

Thank you. Our Pommenstein filter finally makes sense to me.

It's almost like these kids are trying to shut down the league.

Guerin beat out the likes of Waddell and Chiarelli. As Homer Simpson put it, the two sweetest words in the english language: de-fault! de-fault! de-fault!

They're fake lenses. We're not talking about Bubbles here.
