When you say knock offs, do you think it’s an authentic vs replica thing or an authentic/replica vs bootleg thing? I only ever see the jerseys in my closet at this point, so I don’t really know how steep that drop off to replica is today. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a Vegas jersey in person yet.

And if the tornado hits really close to a farm, the sky takes on a cow-like pattern.

Because of d4rk's comments I decided to take a closer look and compare them. I didn't notice anything until I went and grabbed my jersey, which was from the One Buffalo site. There are two readily obvious things that stick out to me right away: -You have a blue outline around the logo. That's not a part of the official. -The official jerseys have a gold outline around the letters on the nameplate. I don't see that on the bootleg. Beyond that, there's a few little things: -Your collar ties are a different material. -The official has a venting material around the armpits. I can't tell whether or not that the case with yours from the picture. -There's also a different material over the shoulders on the official. I can't tell from your picture on that one either. -I don't have a good enough eye to tell whether or not the fonts are any different. And here's one crazily minor feature that I'm not really sure how I actually noticed. Your picture from the inside of the fight strap shows that the four gold stripes are separately stitched onto the outside of the jersey. With mine, it's just two strips of the gold fabric. The white line in between is stitched onto the outside of that gold fabric, creating that gold/white/gold pattern. I'm assuming your arm stripes were made the same way as the lower stripes. So to sum up the whole thing, I have one big issue with the bootleg: the logo isn't correct. I don't think guys will think about it all that much. It's such a minor feature of the jersey as a whole. Now if the entire jersey was that sparkly gold? That's where we get into your pink shirt analogy. But speaking of that fabric, I'm willing to bet that they considered and all gold option with that fabric at some point during the development process. It probably got shot down almost immediately, but I bet they looked at it.

Misdiagnosis doesn’t not equate to malpractice though. The rest of the suggestions here, yeah, that’s where it gets bad. I just don’t have any idea how you can actually prove it. That’s going to take resources that most don’t have access to. It’s early in the process but I’m sure Josie’s friend will do the homework needed to get a much better picture, and has done a lot of it already. It’s a lot to take on, especially at a time where you’re mentally shaken. And it’s completely natural for any woman or man to be in that situation given these circumstances. If we’re going to acknowledge the possible predatory nature of certain aspects of the health care system, we also need to acknowledge the same from some of the ambulance chasers out there. One needs to be very careful with deciding how to proceed.

Is a half a dozen really that high of a number though? These things are always going to happen and I really have no sense for whether or not that's a higher than normal rate especially since looking through responses on social media isn't exactly the most reliable of sources. People misrepresent themselves, others misunderstand what their doctor tells them. It's really tough to get a good feel from that. If this is something that is fairly common practice, a big question mark there, it makes me wonder if that legal pursuit could ultimately be worth it. From your posts, it sounds like resources are already limited, is it worth pursuing that given the chance of no results? Fortunately your friend has been given the time to let the dust settle a bit on this one, time to sit back and assess which option is best going forward.

He had a thread about it a while back. There might be some suggestions there you might want to weigh in on.

And what drew you to the team, family?

There we have it, scientific proof that Allen is a Sobotka fan. No one is going to be able to convince me that the Sabres game him a jersey with his own name on it. Nope, they wouldn't do that.
-
Out of curiosity, are you a Sabre fan who never actually lived in the area? I have a hard time picturing someone who did live there and is just learning that WGR exists through an in-game commercial.

Speaking of Olofsson, there's a guy who is trending towards a really healthy raise next year. No you can't just waive someone. There's that pesky little thing called the salary cap. So yeah, you can waive him, but then you only free up enough money to replace him with a minimum salary player. He's at least performing at that level, right, the level of that replacement player? I'm not so sure this team currently has that guy to fill that same role at that price. -

Would that qualify as a concussion? -
Odd, it won't let me remove the tag from the above quote. But anyway... Sadly, welcome to planet earth. If you show me a place where these people don't exist, I'll show you green skies. Now let's see who will chime in with some crazy weather system that would cause green skies.

It might convey that if you completely ignore the post it was in response to, saying that all things Penn State should have been eliminated. Because that's a perfectly reasonable response to the scandal.

Hopefully it's the same mental block they have with Pittsburgh. -

With the team right up at the cap, there's some significant amount of cap gymnastics required to replace Sobotka with someone in the AHL like Thompson. That $3.5 million cap hit doesn't just go away short of some very specific scenarios playing out. So if you're going to replace him on the game day roster, it's tough to have it be anyone but the one spare forward, Erod. -

Don't worry, he'll get his 16 goals tonight to get that up to 1 per game. -
I just got one of those scam robocalls about my social security number being suspended. The best part was that the robot voice actually gave itself a name, "This is officer Cindy Smith from the social security administration...". I don't remember the specific name, but I'm now convinced that every single robot voice I've ever heard is a real life person. It had a name, so it had to be a real person.

Updated Injury Report EDIT Sheary now Week to Week

And Bogosian moves to LTIR to make cap space for a callup of a new 13th forward. -
My elbow hurts just looking at that still shot.
-
Hey, you never know if it's great first date banter until you try.
-
The thing that bugs me about Sheary getting hurt is how he scored early last year and then fell off the cliff. If he's going to avoid falling into that trap again this year, the early injury doesn't help. I really hope he gets over this quickly and go back to being a guy who will throw in a goal every 4th or 5th game.

My personal favorite was the complaining about violating "NFL etiquette". This from the same guy who is a notorious taunter. What's next, Smell complaining about people posting GIFs that make no sense?
