Are you suggesting that Byfuglien (did I get that right?) would have to clear waivers too? If so, that's not the case. Veterans who sign mid-season need to clear waivers before playing, so that's what happened with Sbisa. Dustin is already under contract so it's not a concern with him. He's basically the equivalent of being on IR right now, a member of the team, but not counted against the roster limit. Now if you're saying they brought in Sbisa as a replacement, I'm not so sure on that one either. They needed the body, but they'll quickly cast him aside should Dustin decide to return.

10 games/24 days, but if it's like regular IR, it's retroactive. If that's the case, he's already fulfilled that criteria and can come off of the list at any point when he's healthy. They'd have to be back under their adjusted cap (including the Hunwick-related overage they're allowed) at that time, which is does easily with Borgen and/or Gilmour sent down. So really, this move really doesn't mean anything. As dark stated, it was required to call up Borgen.

You've probably nailed it right here. He'll be up as an emergency body and then will go back after the game.

Give me a snow storm any day.

Don't tell me what to do!

I think it may have been the northeast division at that point. This is where we need @Taro T to chime in. He always seems to have those details.

How is the coaching situation working out so far? That has to be a tough one for the team, not having a true head coach.

Too much blood flow to the calves can do that. And yes, I know how people are going to spin this "too much blood flow" comment.

My point wasn't about how to change the story once Fisher died. It was about the poor writing decisions in that movie. They managed to screw up heroic sacrifice twice. The first I mentioned, but then later Finn almost had his moment and then they botched that one too. He's going to sacrifice himself to take out the shield buster thing but that's bad, so instead an Rose crashes into him, taking both of them out of the fight and allowing the shield to get destroyed. Why was that the happy solution from the rebel point of view? They so horribly ruined Finn's character development in that movie, then they also ruined his almost redemption.

I still can't adapt to this world where the NFL trade deadline actually has meaning. I have absolutely no clue what the market is, but they do still have some time if they do want to add a WR.

All these Expos references make me think we're suddenly the biggest failure from the Adams division. Both the Whalers and the Nordiques suddenly have cup wins. Apparently the Senators were in the Adams for one year and hey, even they have one.

You want a better ending for Leia? Give her the heroic sacrifice instead of Holdo. That was one of the many things that bugged me about that movie. If you want a sacrifice to mean something, it needs to be someone we actually care about. She was practically a red shirt in that movie. It should have been Akbar, springing one last trap of his own. The new trailer gave me a sibling vibe from Rey/Kylo.

So is he saying he moved out before anything happened? I realize he won’t be in the house for a very long time, but publicly handing out your address like that isn’t a great idea.

This morning on Golic and Wingo, Ryan Howard referred to Anibal Sanchez as "dirty Sanchez". I wonder how much of a scolding he got from the Disney execs the second he was off the air.

I can never trust anyone named Carter.

I remember this one very clearly. I was also in Miami preparing my liver for what was to come. I remember having this giant 1 foot tall german glass of beer as I checked the score of that Avs game. I've never seen something anywhere near as brilliant as Trent Edwards attempting to hold the football over a giant pile up at mid-field, attempting to get a first down. Hey giant stack of defenders, please don't take this ball as I hold it out right in front of your faces.
-
It seems like Fitzpatrick does that to the Bills every time. He'll follow it up with 18 interceptions next week.
-
The insanity of dropping glove and blindly diving into piles like that is something I've never understood. I had one of those brawls once in a high school game and there was no way I was doing that. I went with crowd control instead, stopping anyone else from adding to the pile (no @LGR4GM, please don't post a South Park "back in the pile" GIF). I just about died of laughter when some d-bag challenged me to drop the gloves, and then immediately stepped on a stick and fell flat on his ass.

Well that took an unexpected turn. Letting her marry a Pats fan? Shame on you @Neo. Seriously though, I'm glad to hear she's ok. Pats fans can very easily run anyone's day.

Was this an actual QB sack or just that WR sack I mentioned earlier in the thread?
-
All thread titles should be 12x longer than its first post. I mean, sure, we'd have to ban @Randall Flagg from starting threads, but this rule can't possible go wrong.

This one drives me crazy because I can never get a straight answer on it. Does the goal differential include the fake goal awarded for the shootout win? Fortunately, it's super early in the year and I can in fact do math... (Long Pause) ...It does include the shootout win. That's annoying. The NHL should know better. It should be +12, not +13.

My favorite part is the absolutely beautiful flying tackle from the first Flame to join in... well, that and the homeless look Doughty's got going.

I’ll say the same thing I did during the streak: enjoy this. You never know how long it will last.

Am I reading this right, Oliver got his first career sack and it was a WR?
