  1. You don't say! I really missed a chance by not making reference to that right away.
  2. It's too early. If Pittsburgh can get in, Tomlin will win the media award.
  3. Are they though? It's early, but this is shaping up to be a season where the atlantic (*****, I still want to say northeast) only gets 3 playoff teams. That could wind up being a really tough spot because we all know Tampa and Toronto are capable of climbing up the standings.
  4. And you wonder why Neo's a Bills fan.
  5. Are you sure?
  6. @Brawndo? I guess I’m going to have to start calling him Doogie.
  7. A roster of 23 with 98 different numbers to choose from, retire away. There are still plenty of options out there. The only real crime is that the league no longer allows 00.
  8. I heard Santa Baby the other day and a question suddenly popped into my head. "How in the hell do I actually know that this is Eartha Kitt?" She's well before my time and I really only know her as Catwoman. And it's not a song I really care about either way. So why did I so quickly identify her as the singer?
  9. I have a hard time picturing the Devils taking on any of Subban's salary, especially with two more years left on the deal. So Toronto would have to free up $9 million worth of space to make that one happen. That one would have to get very creative in order to happen.
  10. So does Harley have dual citizenship? I'm seeing him listed as being born in Syracuse.
  11. Amateur. Why decide between two beers when you can just get both? And yeah, if there are 17 different options, that's when your level of dedication is truly put to the test.
  12. I just watched someone use a paper cutter (you know, the ones with the giant blade on a swinging arm) to open envelopes. I don't know whether to laugh or to be impressed.
  13. Why does it matter which Bills were voted into the pro bowl? None of them will be playing anyway. Did I do that right??
  14. To be fair, if video replay in sports has taught us anything, it's that we have no visual proof for where the toes actually are, if there are in fact any toes at all. The ruling on the field stands, he's toeing the line.
  15. Exactly. But what we do know for sure is that hire #1 was a bust. One can only hope that he learned a thing or two from that, because he appears to have nailed the next GM he hired (please don't take that out of context... you know who you are). Actually, now that I look back at the timeline, did they really hire both of the current GMs within days of each other?
  16. He made the right hire in one place but not in the other.
  17. There was definitely a bird.
  18. The discussions are fine. It's one poster who regularly chooses to openly mock the subject that leads to the issues. The rest I'd say has been a respectful conversation.
  19. Right, but they can also fall to the 4 seed. The Texans beat them so they hold the tie breaker. I realize we're only dealing with 15 here, but I'm surprised that adding in that one extra week of playoff games leads to a more likely scenario. I guess there's just enough wiggle room to get the Texans out of the 4th seed.
  20. I'm too lazy to explore their math, but I have a hard time picturing how a potential second round matchup can be more likely than a first round matchup. The Bills are essentially locked into the first wild card. New England is basically locked into 2 or 3. Everyone else has a better chance of moving around a bit. I guess there's enough of a chance that the Texans could either jump over KC or fall behind Tennessee (don't know the tie breaker there).
  21. I found myself driving behind and SUV this morning with a giant patriots logo on the back window. At that moment, I knew I was being filmed.
  22. I don't pay close enough attention to the Bills to really know what they've done. But the bolded is a good indicator of the impression I always get from them. Those two always come across to me as being a true team, both levels of the management being on the same exact page and working together. The Sabres haven't had anything remotely like that i a long time now, probably the earlier years of Darcy/Lindy. Maybe Botterill/Krueger can finally be that, but we haven't seen enough yet to really know.
  23. What you miss is five seconds later when he is hit by a car.
  24. And not just that, but a 3 year deal to an over 35 proven flight risk. This was almost as predictable as Josh Gordon’s latest suspension.
  25. I usually hate the whole “run 10 yards up field to celebrate a sack” thing, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed Phillips mocking Watt’s “kick the field goal” motion late last night. Granted, he’s celebrating all while Pittsburgh is rushing to lineup, but it was worth it. That Watt celebration was poorly timed considering the fact that his team was about to give up the lead once that field goal went through the uprights.
