The other thing is that the Bills took a committee approach to catching passes last year. Looking at one single game ignores the fact that a different receiver was leading the way each week. The two guys in question were 4th and 6th on the team in total reception yards. So go pick some other game randomly and you’ll be pretty likely to see the other guys leading the way.

When I decide to turn on the station, I tend to get there right around 10am. I pretty much never catch the morning show, so I can't really speak to them. Most of the rest is either state run radio or amateur hour. Unfortunately, if you want to hear Buffalo stuff, you really don't have many options. As for the bolded? That's probably my favorite comment of the day.

I was very curious to see what you’d say when you disagreed with my post about WGR being low quality radio. I wasn’t expecting this.

WGR as a whole

Very low quality. But anyway, how was this year’s WR class anyway? I really don’t hear all that much about it.

I have very little faith in anyone WGR rolls out there. They’re college radio most of the time.

They do it all year. It’s their job. Edit: And these games are Friday/Sunday/Thursday/saturday/friday. That’s not doing it all again the next night. These game formats exist solely because travel is an issue. They would go 1-1-1 if it wasn’t. Rochester/syracuse is about as close to that as you can get.

So would you say this is a good thing or a bad thing? I like what I’m reading here from the Beane perspective, but that’s just my personal spin based on pretty much zero information.

But then there’s his BU boy Chris Drury calling the shots for the rags (for now?). That feels like the fit for me. Apparently he wanted him a few years back but he wasn’t available. I thought I was pretty clear on the Rochester-Syracuse part. There’s no travel concern there. Hell, the Amerks did just that from 3/21-3/23 this year during the season. I’d love to see it happen at some point when two close teams match up.

I’d love to see a 1-1-1-1-1 format someday (or the 7 game version). Travel isn’t really an issue when you get a Rochester-Syracuse matchup. It would have been great years ago when MLB had the subway series matchup.

Are they doing two shows there too? I’m going to both in Raleigh, but have the great seats for the first.
