I still want to see baseball players prank their teammates by having their walk up music changed to something like "It's raining men". For all I know, with how long that season is, players have already done it.

The rinks are pretty scarce here in NC. They’re building one in my home town. I can’t wait. That place should be up and running once my 9 month old is ready to play.

Here’s a great example of how great hockey coverage is here in North Carolina. I just listed to the radio host raving about how much she enjoyed the Avs-Flames series in the playoffs last year.

It's worth noting that these are 3 games against absolutely awful opponents. Still, you can't fault a guy for doing what he was supposed to do.

I guess I never looked too closely at that 2nd TD to Davis. The throw looks just about perfect. Did the CB have his left hand tied up?

It does feel like a bit of a "hey, look at me". I'm not really sure if someone can dominate the NCAA 2 games into the year, both against a school that just jumped up from the club level. It's the same reason I can't read too much into Levi beating LIU.

There's a couple oddities in there. The biggest to me is who the hell is Gabriel Karlsson? From searching over hockeydatabase, that's not even a real person. Columbus has a Gabriel Carlsson with that birthday, but no one with that K name and birthday exists.

He’s not a prospect though. He’s depth, just like that list of no name defensemen they added this off-season. Every team needs these guys.

He did leave for a year. It anyway, is it all that crazy that a guy from Buffalo realizing that he’s probably an AHL player for life might want to do so close to home?

I bet that there are plenty of guys like this across the league. The AHL followers can probably through out a bunch of names of guys who would probably have very similar careers. It's a bit tough for me to pick them out since I don't follow the league, but I did randomly come across this one.
