Are sedatives good for covid? This thread could use some.

Sometimes things are so obvious that you don't actually have to say them. Subtlety plays better sometimes.
-
Perfect, it would wash the crappy team away.

That's the one good thing about all of this, that I don't have to listen to any of these people anymore. I never heard much conspiracy stuff around the office, but I just don't like people.

Sabres Trade Alex Nylander to Chicago for D Man Henri Jokiharju

You don't sell subscriptions by comparing players to Sam Bennett (insert the name of whichever high draft pick who never amounted to anything). -
I don't even want to know what the drunks would do if there were bidets in the stadium.

I'm glad because I was officially out of ways to make statements that included the words "no" or "not".

Ha, the troll deleted his/her latest thread already?

What, the goalie academy doesn't want to buy the naming rights?
-
Ummm, seeing as how they both own NFL franchises and that is the only direct comparison you can make between the two...
-
Have they lost a lot of the deals they have with leagues like MLB and the NFL? Has that crappy fanatics brand taken over a lot?

Redmond only had an AHL contract, so he was never paid an exhorbitant sum to be an AHL all star. The guys we were paying the big money to be AHL stars? None of them were (Wilson, Dea, Nelson, Gilmour, Hammond).

Having every single sentence in a post be negative is much harder than I thought it would be. Luckily I'm a one line poster.

I'm not questioning you here. I just get the feeling that someone is stretching things a bit on this one.
-
He didn't have a contract with that zero depth team in the first place, so technically, he was already gone. It's just like Redmond, the Sabres organization had already moved on from him.
-
I suspect some spin on this one because it makes zero sense. They only would give him an AHL contract this year but this time around they're willing to go with a one-way deal... and he won't take that guaranteed 10x raise? Someone's leaking out some fake information.

So, why couldn’t the Sabres sign a Ilya Sorokin?
shrader replied to gilbert11's topic in The Aud Club
That isn't done with the european picks. It's the "bona fide offer" mentioned in that section. All I can think is that there is some addition at the end of the document that relates specifically to the KHL and the lack of a transfer agreement. -

The CBA clearly states that draft pick rights are retained for 4 years for any player drafted from a team outside of North America (2 years if drafted at age 20). So if anyone was reporting that they still had his rights, I don't know what rules could make that possible. That said, in cases like this, I think the players have had a good working relationship with the team through years of communication. Minnesota would have had the same thing recently with their signing of Kaprizov, drafted in 2015. I have seen stuff listing these guys as prospects for those teams prior to the signings, I just don't know how that can actually be the case: It's different than with guys like Kryukov, not that it really matters. He was drafted under a previous CBA with a different set of rules. -
I'm a little confused by the description of Hickey here, granted I don't pay much attention to what goes on in Rochester. I see that his games played numbers are definitely low, but he's still just a second year pro at this point. It sounds like this year should be that make or break year (assuming he's retained) and should finally get that playing time. I'm not so sure that's a failure yet. One good year and he could be on the Borgen path, a fellow second year pro. And speaking of Borgen, it looks like he had some fun right before he took this profile picture.

I've heard several times that they actually make really good pets... obviously as long as the scent gland is removed very early in life.

If they signed him to an ELC last year, draft pick rights are no longer a question here since he has an NHL contract already. edit: Oops I misread that part about when the contract was signed. -
I bet they weren't too crazy about Spain.

I think you significantly underestimate the number of players who just want money. There are plenty who will sign with Buffalo if that's where the best offer come from. And there will be plenty of good players who fall into that category too. This should be an interesting year to watch because I think the short term cash out mentality may be at the highest level it's ever been thanks to all the uncertainty. It may very well be over much smaller amounts of money than in the past too.

It's comforting to know that random people didn't know how to wear them back then either.
