I came on to say exactly this. Who thought Ray was articulate enough to make the national broadcast? -

The enthusiasm the board is showing for this GDT is... questionable at best. :bag: -
Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Samson's Flow replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
We have been watching The Deuce, The Good Doctor and Mindhunter. It's nice to have some new quality shows to watch this fall. On the other hand, not impressed with the first episode of The Walking Dead. I fear that this show may be going the way of Dexter and losing my interest the longer it goes on. I've mentioned before, but my wife is obsessed with Serial Killer shows. I'm interested as well, but if I ever disappear suddenly the first suspect would be her. -
Me as well. Very nice Jo.

Game Discussion Thread GDT: Sabres at Bruins, 7pm 10-21-17

As a man who has seen a lot of pu$$y in his line of work, I'll take your word for it :flirt: -
Morton early on was impressive. The advanced analytics indicated he was highly unlucky the first few starts. McCullers looks unhittable right now. Don't even need a closer tonight. Go Astros

What a fun ride tonight. Glad I had the ALCS to distract me in the second period. Like I mentioned in the Vegas game, if they play like they did in the third period, not only would the Sabres be highly watchable, but they would be a pretty good team. That was dominant hockey in the third and OT -
There's goes the irrational excitement for watching the Bills play against Fitzmagic. :(

Well alright then. Probably well deserved given the talent on the Nats and the odd managerial decisions.

GDT: Sabres VS Vancouver, 7 pm ET, 20/10/17

Please make the McCabe - Antipin pairing work well. I'd love to see vintage McCabe teamed up with the Antipin we saw in the KHL highlights. -
I attributed the Girgensons result in Vegas as a result of the injury. There weren't enough meaningful minutes played to get a result.

What the numbers show is a proxy for quality of competition. The higher numbers (Vegas ex. Pouliot/Larsson/Bailey) mean those players played against the opponent's best players (the ones that get the most PP TOI) while the lower numbers mean those Sabres players (Vegas ex. Okposo/Moulson) played against weaker opposition. The thought is this should be able to identify what players Housley trusts to "shut down" the opponents top lines, and who he would like to use to take advantage and score against lesser opponents. Again Home games should be more representative since we get last change in those games, Away games are more of a mixed bag/who the opponent wants to play their top guys against.

I told my wife that there was a Sabres game last night because I remembered the GDT was started on Thursday. She had to convince me that I was wrong and it was actually on Friday. -
Also since MODO has made his triumphant return, i'll again say for all the victims and families out there: F### Cancer.

Yes this is the one exception to the GDT rule. Besides, its already tomorrow in Sweden right?! (I know it isn't but screw it). -

I see what you did there. -
Ah. the existential pain of being trapped rooting for the hometown Sabres despite the anticipation that they will bring nothing but disappointment. Yet we must endure.

WildCard changed to a different Charlie avatar. More film noir. The new image evokes melancholy emotions. I'm not one to complain this week, I got a functional promotion at work, my bar league teams are doing great, and McKinnon has turned around my Fantasy Football season.

Sabres Trying to Avoid Snap Decision with Reinhart
Samson's Flow replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
But all of our best players, i.e. the ones we are relying on, are all still 21/22/23. If we were already dominant now while relying on extremely young players, then we would have a long term dynasty in the making. Perspective on the true "core" guys of Jack, Sam, ROR, Risto are all young to very young. -

Obviously star players will have higher shooting percentages. I looked up the team shooting percentages for last year and every team fell between the mid 7% (Colorado) to 10.5% (Washington). Most teams were in the 9-8% range. A snippet from https://www.sportingcharts.com/nhl/stats/team-shooting-percentage/2016/ here: "League wide shooting percentage has changed over the seasons due to evolution in the game, which has become more defensively focused and led to lower overall scoring and thus lower shooting percentages. However, since the 2009-10 NHL season, the average team shooting percentage has been steady around the 9% level." -

Shooting percentage is usually pretty steady at 8% or so and has traditionally ranged from 7-10% by the end of the year. 3% is suuuper unlucky and will revert back to the average. -

Well you aren't supposed to wear the beater as a shirt. It goes under the dress shirt to prevent chafing.
