  1. I'm hoping first and foremost that they caught this injury early enough in his life that the long term effects are as minor as possible. Hoping it was something they identified in his end of year physical and not something trauma related. That said, the Bills were getting older on Offensive line and were going to need to draft there in the next few year anyways. Groy has played well as a replacement player, but this adds another hole to fill that we didn't have a few weeks ago. Also, his veteran leadership presence is probably understated by Bills fans but he was a hell of a guy and one I always rooted for as a Bills fan.
  2. We need more than Eichel as a finisher. All those prime chances for Okposo are being squandered
  3. That first PP unit almost looked like the top unit from a year ago. Lots of chances generated
  4. They haven't been horrible tonight, and we have seen some good offensive zone time tonight. But you're absolutely right - better wingers would have goals and consistently dominate zone time
  5. Despite saying that I wouldn't, here I am watching this stupid Sabres game. At least they aren't losing... Yet
  6. That the Sabres still elicit an emotional reaction at this point in the season is impressive.
  7. Pretty sure it's supposed to be a dog, but it looks oddly koala to me. Count me out on this one, the only excitement left in this season is who gets traded at the deadline and what pick we get. Meh.
  8. All this talk about coffee is making me go get myself a cup... ...let me go fire up the workplace Keurig to inefficiently fill up my one cup while simultaneously creating plastic garbage
  9. Just read that ESPN article as well. Really sickening stuff and I can't believe the number of adults in power positions that heard stories and reported nothing. They should all be punished to allow/facilitate this kind of abuse to happen for so long and to so may innocent victims.
  10. You're not wrong... I don't have anything to complain about today. Today was a good day :)
  11. If you ever have a super emergency (2am, holiday, etc.) there is also Green Acres Emergency Clinic on Niagara Falls Blvd. just off the 290 by The Home Depot. They are the emergency clinic we went to when my dog needed surgery on Thanksgiving Day after she swallowed a chew toy. But any other emergency that isn't an everything-closes-holiday I stick with Brighton Eggert.
  12. We go to Brighton-Eggert Animal Hospital which is off Sheridan by Niagara Falls Blvd. Brand new facility and always had a pleasant experience there. It may be a 10-15min drive from you depending on where in Williamsville you are (I think d4rk mentioned closer to the Airport earlier this week).
  13. Excellent. Reward them with a taste but keep the team intact for success in Rochester. no chance of that in Buffalo this year.
  14. Only risk is Chudzinski is still employed by the Colts after they fired their HC. If we are waiting for him to be available we may miss out on the other choices.
  15. I'll say one thing, we aren't the same Sabres of 5+ years ago that had to trot out Roy, Hecht and ?? as our centers. We may not have any other forwards, but Eichel, Mittelstadt and O'Reilly is pretty damn good.
  16. I think it took so long to fire Dennison because they were looking at a short list of replacements. I bet it's McCoy since he was the #1 choice last season when McDermott was putting together his staff. Remember that they settled on Dennison because he was the last guy left at the dance.
  17. He's not slow. I'd say it's more he seems lost in terms of what his role is since he plays 1st line one game and 4th line the next.
  18. You shut your mouth. Russ Brandon should have negative influence in player/personnel decisions for both Bills and Sabres. I would prefer he be shot into the sun, but that isn't happening. :flirt:
  19. From the reports I have read, Botterill is looking for a specific price (prospect + 1st) and doesn't want to move off it since he feels he can get it if he holds strong. I'm guessing no other team has quite met the exact asking price just yet. We probably could trade him now, but it would be accepting the best offer on the table rather than the offer we want. Lehner needs to get healthy before he gets traded. Teams are usually pretty hesitant to trade for an injured player, even if it is only a short term thing. There's only a handful of players I care about on this team, the rest can be traded at will.
  20. Glad to see the team get it's head out of it's @ss for one night to play well in front of Ullmark. Kid looked good and made some great saves. Guhle was the most noticeable player on the ice, and I think that aggressive play is exactly what Housley was looking for at the beginning of the year. I know guys like Risto and McCabe have that capability too since we saw that in their WJC time (remember the GWG from Risto?), but they have too much PTSD from the Nolan/Bylsma years to do it as confidently as Guhle did. Jack has elevated the carcass of Kyle Okposo and made him an effective player again. Funny how the two fastest skaters (Eichel and Guhle) were the best looking players last night... :flirt:
  21. Remember when we took for granted having an 80 point scorer? Those were the days... :flirt:
  22. MODO's excitement has for Ullmark starting has made this otherwise unwatchable game a little more intriguing. Sincerely, "Pipe of Boys"
  23. The Saints might have drafted the OROY and DROY this year, and still the rest of their picks range from 'meh' to 'above average'. Hitting on just a few players amkes you a draft winner. http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/255519/saints-stellar-draft-class-the-secret-to-their-2017-success
  24. One of my younger cousins loves Mighty. His birthday was Mighty Taco themed and his christmas presents were about $75 in MT gift cards. If you want to talk drunken eats chains in Buffalo, I point you to Jim's Steakout.
