DEADLINE DAY -- Sabres trade speculation
Samson's Flow replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
Brad May was spitballing on a Tavares and Tarasenko swap, but it doesn't make any sense since Tavares is a UFA and Tarasenko is locked up until like 2022. -
We can always rely on you ink

Nothing says "Kid's Day" like the Vegas team in town... ...and a bunch of strangers from the internet heavily imbibed. -
DEADLINE DAY -- Sabres trade speculation
Samson's Flow replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
Especially since one of the hang ups with a potential trade with the Blues was their lack of a 1st round pick this year. Now they have that (WPG 1st) if that is the price for Kane. -

That's some Alanis Morissette level irony right there. -
I always like these small world stories. Thanks for sharing!

Trade Deadline Deals 2018 (Non-Sabres Thread)

I know someone was mentioning that the trade deadline should be a primetime event. They weren't thinking of our friend MODO who gets the next few hours right in prime time (5pm now to 9pm deadline time) -

Given the way the team is playing, the beer selection might be pretty important for the pre/post game. Given this is a 1pm game, how early are we planning on meeting up? I had assumed the post game would be more of the activities, but it did help seeing what faces were in our group pre-game, as many of us didn't know the whole group the first time around. -

DEADLINE DAY -- Sabres trade speculation
Samson's Flow replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
I knew I missed something! Five teams interested is probably enough of a critical mass to get a trade done with pretty favorable terms for the Sabres. If those teams start even a small bidding war we will like the return coming back. -
Jbot Do Something Already 3 - deadline edition
Samson's Flow replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The fans should only be concerned if it is 5pm today and we still haven't made a move. These guys aren't waiting for fax machines anymore, so there could be a flurry at 3pm or shortly after with multiple trades going down all at once. -

I speculate that Kane will be traded for some combination of picks and prospects, as long as both GM's are satisfied with the asking price. ...am I doing this right? -

Plus Fat Bob's is delicious and a pretty sweet place. It also checks the box of being close to the Allen/Medical metro stop - same walk as Gabriel's Gate. IIRC we landed on Gabriel's Gate since it was a) close to the Metro stop for those that wanted to park n ride and b) to show MODO what true wings were like. i don't think the wings are as necessary this time around. -
To take that to a different logical extreme, I have seen reports around suicide and suicide prevention and for individuals considering suicide or have called a helpline, they are far more likely to actually kill themselves if they have access to a gun compared to alternate methods (pills, drowning, etc.). I wouldn't say their convictions are any stronger than the other people without guns, but the efficiency of a firearm makes it far more likely they are ultimately "successful". I'd use the same logic to the school shooting/mass killing examples. Having access to a firearm escalates the severity and efficiency of the tragedy.

We got the chip installed to track her when she was a little pup, but other than that we haven't gone the insurance route. We have enough savings to cover any vet bills that come up (including that surgery last Thanksgiving - ouch) so we haven't felt the need.

That's neat - small world  Yep. Every once in a while I check the "sold in the last year" in my area and realize that i seem to have timed the market pretty well. My house is probably worth double on the market now based on the updates I have done and the price uplift in the area. Hertel's growth has really helped real estate prices in N. Buffalo. ... the word is "sh!tty" - seriously?!

I only watched the first before I had to go to work, but it looked like the USA basically only played their top two lines (filled with college kids) as they were dominating on the forecheck and with offensive zone time. I barely noticed Gionta on the ice after the first shift because he got limited ice time.

If only there were good hockey players available with that 1st we traded away. :Bag:

The shot was practically from the blue line with no screen. That's an NHL save 99% of the time
