Why don't you go study the statistical probability of biking into a tornado...
-
Why don't you move to Oklahoma or something :nana:

Yes indeed. Plus since the Jays are playing the Yankees I actually get to watch the opening day game I care about.

Shaq in his prime was a beast in the low post and dominant on the boards. We could probably get something for him even though his best years are behind him...

As evidenced by the "Sausage" sign at the meetup, i'm not exactly a short guy either. Find something you can stomach driving for as cheap as possible and save money on not having a lease payment

To your point - and from Botterill's perspective - I don't think there is much benefit to bringing in Casey to the festering turd of a roster with nothing to play for in the last week of the season. Both for competitiveness and his development ATO in Rochester sounds way better as a short term option. Either way, he will get his ELC and be penciled into the Sabres lineup next year.

If you just accept that you can live with an older car, then you don't have to deal with infotainment systems and can get a real value. I have a good job and choose to drive a '07 Pontiac G6 just so I don't have to deal with the cost of a new car. Not for nothing, but you don't really strike me as a "needs to drive a new car for status" kind of guy.

I don't think Shaq's value would be much different from Hughes given the younger age and the cheaper contract compared to Hughes. It isn't always about performance. Either way, you aren't getting enough value in trading either of them to replace having to trade both #12 and #22 this year as well as some later picks this year. It's not worth creating a new hole.

It really was pretty amazing how often they were able to get to the rim and finish with two 7' big men on the Arizona roster, including the presumptive top 5 NBA pick.
-
Eggsactly. I see McCarron as the backup QB for next year, but can start a game without totally screwing the pooch if needed. We are still working on acquiring our starter for the future.

It's a strange feeling when I was just discussing our opposite views on the Bills season and I come over here and we are in lock step on NCAA basketball.
-
Well then I guess I just have my rose colored glasses on. I'm excited to finally take a shot on a top rookie QB instead of shopping in the retread bargain bin for the most important position in football.

Bush belongs in the "also signed depth". He will not see the field behind Poyer and Hyde.

It seems with the new tournament structure that the 11 seeds are reserved for the last 4 at-large bids for the teams that didn't win the conference tournament. Not saying it is right, but you see a lot of "bad" big name schools getting that 11 seed play in (UCLA, Syracuse, Arizona St?) to prove they should be in. IMO the wire to wire conference winners should be 10 or 11 seeds and the at-large last 4 should be 12 or 13 seeds. Gives more diversity to the round of 32 games as the conference winners don't get steamrolled by the Arizona's of the world.

I'll remind you that we are only 1 day into Free Agency my friend. I think AJ McCarron was the value they were looking at to avoid the situation they were in last year, where if the starter struggles then they have to turn to 5 INT Peterman as a rookie instead of having a competent backup. I in no way expect AJ McCarron to start more than a handful of games for the Bills. Josh Rosen will be the starter by midway through this season.
-
I hear you. It's even crazier that Free Agency hasn't even started officially yet, but we already have multiple trades and reported signings for the Bills alone, not even considering the rest of the league. The NFL knows how to make their league interesting 365 days a year...

Nothing in here about Bonnies making the play in and beating UCLA last night? Youze guys suck :nana:

The report earlier was that the Jets were in on Bridgewater. If that has changed with the McCown to NYJ report, then I would definitely be in on Bridgewater - I think he has the upside to be good for us while the rookie learns. We are apparently just playing defensive backs and linemen in our defense. Matt Milano is our only LB. This is probably just a depth signing given the money/lack of name recognition.

Given the insane amount of money (much of it guaranteed) thrown out to bridge QB's today, I'm not too upset that we decided to pass on that "first" tier.
-
We on SS have been penciling in Ullmark as the starter next year. Well this is his chance to show us that our faith in him is warranted.
-
Sounds like the Bills are the only team left that still needs a vet bridge QB. We will have the pick of the remains of McCown, McCarron and the lower tier guys like Matt Moore.
-
FWIW the draft pick value chart says to get to #3 it would take roughly #12 and #22. So very doable.
-
That puts Glenn's value in the deal at a mid-2nd rounder. That is a sweet deal from the Bills end IMO. Makes it much less painful to move up with the Giants/Colts now that we are at 12.

Bengals had the #12 overall...
-
TSW has a tweet saying "Bengals move down in the 1st" so maybe we moved up. Jim Owczarski‏Verified account @JimOwczarskiFollowFollow @JimOwczarski More Can confirm the #Bengals traded for Cordy Glenn. Bengals move down in the first round, but pick up the salary.
