  1. Sounds like you are in for a good night ? I too have a car complaint. I bought a car at an auction last month by accompanying my uncle's friend/partner/guy who works in his building to a "dealer only" auction selling used cars. The auction itself was kind of a pain since they wouldn't let me in (not a registered dealer) so I had to play charades through the window to indicate which cars I wanted and the price I was willing to bid. This isn't really the complain because I managed to snag a sweet '09 Subaru Impreza for only $7,800 (only 41k miles ?). Over a month later and I still can't drive the freaking thing because my uncle's friend/partner/guy who works in his building hasn't gotten it inspected or finished the paperwork to get me the title. I just met with him today which should have been when we did the final transaction when we realized instead of a NYS Inspection w/ sticker the auto shop just did a used car quality inspection - whatever the hell that is. In the meantime my old Pontiac G6 is racking up miles and approaching winter, which should make it a lot of fun to sell on craigslist. At this rate, i'll be meeting with strangers from the internet looking to buy my car with 3 feet of snow. I guess there's a reason people just pay more to go to a dealer, instead of doing this shady back room deals that are 5x the effort.
  2. Funny - those were two that I "crossed the aisle" for as well.
  3. Yeah it was perfect. Secluded with no chance of people you know seeing you hanging out with strangers from the internet. ?
  4. The bolded is infurating to me, as someone who votes for both Republican and Democratic candidates based on who I think is actually best qualified/most aligns with my values. I don't claim to be some sort of political genius, but literally 30 mins worth of Google research can get you a good idea of each candidate's policy stance and qualifications. Most people I know spend more time researching their fantasy football team than the effing election candidates. Voting blindly along party lines and the "us against them" mentality is perpetuating electing bad/corrupt candidates. We're all Americans ffs.
  5. Did you see the picture of the sample ballot? No wonder people missed the Senate vote it was under the instructions section at the very bottom left of the ballot. 24,000 people when the next highest county's differential was ~1,500 votes. That's dumb.
  6. I'm not sure - do you guys think we need to win this game?!?
  7. I've heard this a couple times but not sure I understand what it means fully. Anyone care to elaborate?
  8. As someone who listens to zero WGR, that doesn't help me. I probably would have gone if the tickets were reasonable and I didn't have 7 hours notice...
  9. I think it is more about how ***** of a marketing job they did letting people know this was happening. It's the first I heard of it and I read a dedicated Sabres hockey board daily.
  10. I'm especially interested in watching the poll results tonight to see if enough people come out for McMurray to make a difference, or if party line voting is really that strong that people will vote for a guy who will spend most of the next term in court fighting his insider trading charges.
  11. Are they really going to be stupid enough to rush back Allen to play in the Jets game before the bye week? This season is shot don't rush him back...
  12. I was very disappointed when I was in the NY-26th rather than the 27th. It would have been nice to be able to vote this loser out.
  13. I agree with the receivers point. Peterman looked bad because he continues to throw balls that rely on his receivers to make a play, and time and time again they show that they are unable to. Watching other teams play I see plenty of contested catches and receivers finishing routes with YAC, and there is none of that here. Benjamin gives up on most of his routes after 10 yards, plenty of catchable balls were dropped/deflected up in the air for picks/fumbled by the rest of the pass catching core. Peterman is bad, but he wasn't getting any help last Sunday.
  14. There is some interesting ideas about primaries, about winner take all elections, and gerrymandering. Thanks for the read Weave - that was certainly interesting! The two political party Duopoly just seems so powerful in its current iteration that I have a hard time believing reform is possible without some sort of legal intervention. I am intrigued by their solutions of non-partisan primaries and ranked order voting. Those seem like they would work and are not impossible to implement.
  15. Just watched the first episode last night. I think i'm in for a good ride :)
  16. With so many good alternatives available now, once a show loses me I can't see ever going back. It's not worth my time.
  17. This was great, and I found it even better after reading your post then watching the noon replay of the game yesterday. I found myself noticing the things you mentioned and knowing that a goal was coming in the next 5-10 seconds. I noticed Dahlin's Magic, McCabe's pinch, Eichel' Engine and Dahlin's Block during my re-watch without actively looking for them, and they were all great plays. It was cool to notice the little effort or skill plays that make the goals happen - well done!
  18. Sorry bud I don't agree. Back to back games are basically the only time when goaltender management is required/mandatory and both goalies have played well imo
  19. If we do, my money is on the Sabres winning more weeks than the Bills in a landslide
  20. I know - just reminding everyone what a clown show this organization is
  21. I will continue my stance that the handling of the QB situation and the lack of a veteran backup is and continues to be a fire able offense. Still by far the worst rate
  22. Amazingly (or not) it looks like the sabres might win this one by a landslide
  23. I know the officiating has nothing to do with why the Bills are losing, but I continue to find it interesting how the "preferred teams" get all sorts of calls in their favor and teams like the Bills are always on the wrong side of the penalty count. We don't get the roughing the passer or pass interference calls other teams do - probably because they don't throw the ball...
  24. There are plenty of words. Many of them are the 4 letter variety though.
  25. I stopped watching midway through last season. Used to absolutely love the show. Now it's dead to me - they made so many stupid show decisions and made it so the zombies posed literally zero risk
