Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Samson's Flow replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
Finally getting into The Haunting of Hill House. ***** is it good. We watched the first 4 episodes last night and are planning to go right back at it tonight with the Nell episode (which I read in this thread is one of the best ones). Counting the work hours until I get home. Thanks guys & gals! -
This is what I experienced at the European cafes as well. There were plenty of locals that set up at a table at their local cafe and spent 2-3 hours chatting. It was refreshing.

I guess it all depends on when they watched us.

I know exactly what you mean and agree with the sentiment, but it is a little funny to me that on a Sabres board, our team is #1 in points and yet we all think being ranked #6 in a Power Ranking still feels a little too high. Lately the results tell a different story.

Having tasted coffee like this in Italy/Croatia, I really wish I had the dedication to go through the steps and make it as you described. Sadly, I will continue to be lazy and complain about sub-par coffee locally while using the company provided Keurig.

I think this was the worst kept secret in town. The Pegulas were always going to want to build a new stadium, but they were most likely waiting for the lease to get closer to expiration as well as the results of the latest mid-term elections (a changing of the guard there may have required re-negotiations of previously established handshake deals). My bet is that the stadium is going nearby the Key Bank Center and the new PSE headquarters at the Labbatt Brew House, most likely in the Perry Projects/Conway Park area. That would consolidate the area into a sporting event/Pegula land district.

This one has me a bit nervous that our streak will finally run out. The Sharks are a good team and we have been playing with fire the last few games, relying on late game comebacks and OT/SO heroics. I don't think it will be a bad game, but something like a 3-2 or 4-2 with an empty netter. That said, i'm excited to watch another game. My evenings have been longing for more hockey, and we were spoiled with so many games in such a short period.

He did have another great game. That and he is a very entertaining dude. I was laughing my ass off as he was dancing behind the ref

The difference between Tage two weeks ago and now it's staggering. I don't know what changed, but he looks nothing like his ineffective first few months. Tage 2.0 (I'm really worried my wife keeps mentioning she likes the name Tage. We are not naming our future child Tage.)

? You didn't fix it you made it worse. Grammar is correct

For example there was a series of three straight plays where Allen had a 10+ yard completion for a first down and three consecutive oline penalties wiped them out.

Was pleasantly surprised how good "Instant Family" was. Went with my family before my mom headed back to Rochester. It was surprisingly good balance of being funny and emotional -
Punctuation, capitalization and grammar.

I root for the Blue Jays and the Raptors (don't care much for the NBA, but if I had to pick a team it would be them), but yet I absolutely can't stand the leafs and hope they lose every game. That said Toronto winter sports are looking pretty solid

GDT: Sabres at Red Wings 24 Nov 18 @ 7:00 PM EST
Samson's Flow replied to SABRES 0311's topic in The Aud Club
Let's go Buffalo. Parents in law scheduled a family dinner tonight at 8, so hopefully they put the game out of reach after 1 period... -
Drink coffee occasionally. Sometimes I'm in the mood for multiple cups and other times I go days without it. Always black and prefer darker roasts. Also since my trip to Europe I keep searching for the Turkish coffee but nothing has been the same.

I have to dig up the meetup thread to see where all the other tickets are before buying them. I also have to make sure my wife didn't plan something 3 months ahead of time for that weekend - you never know. But I agree they are only going to go up.
-
I have friends coming up from the Washington DC area to catch tonights game (and Friday's game), so I hope the Sabres continue their winning streak. I on the other hand have Hamilton tickets at Shea's tonight so me and my wife are doing that and are going to have to miss the game. I think I am making the right choice, so if any of you hosers give me ***** you can pound sand. It's Hamilton FFS!!!

The shipping cost to Halifax alone will put SDS out of business.

It seems this board is a good way for out of towners to keep up on what's going on. We have members from all over the states (Texas, Florida, Carolinas, Colorado, Oklahoma, etc.), canadian neighbors to the north in Toronto, Vancouver, Nova Scotia, etc. as well as overseas in the UK, Belgium and Sweden just to name a few. Most of the out of towners grew up here as Sabres fans, but (surprisingly) we have others who decided to become fans even during the dreaded "tank" years.

The PA Christmas Card thread, AKA, Dr. Mr. Pegula
Samson's Flow replied to Wyldnwoody44's topic in The Aud Club
I guess you missed 28 pages of GDT from the Penguins game. After going down 4-1 our dearest PA claimed something to the effect of "if we win this game I will personally thank Terry Pegula and send him a christmas card this year". The rest is history... -
Currently StubHub has tickets in the 100 level corners for the 2/23 game at ~$60/per. We'll see if that goes up or down as we get closer to the date.

I like the idea, but think to truly get more diverse viewpoints involved we can actually count all the ranked choice votes and assign weighted values based on 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. Something like 1st gets 1.0 votes, 2nd 0.7, 3rd 0.3 would result in election results where candidates represent more centrist viewpoints and don't pander just to the extremes. That's probably our first step towards working together rather than playing strictly by party lines. Never going to happen though...
