At least this year it might be partly from development of Allen, Foster, etc. and not meaningless veterans overachieving
-
I hate to say it but Tage is the only reason the third line even sniffs an offensive chance. Sobotka continues to be where offense goes to die

I feel like the other team always scores minutes after we take the lead

I agree. Yesterday was an objectively entertaining game. Bad end result but I felt I got my money's worth (from my couch)

Woof. That anthem was rough

I honestly don't know how anyone outside of EST does it. -

Hey there's another hockey game tonight! Cool -
Yeah I think the organization have him all the cover they could with the illness thing, but their patience has run out. To be fair I think we were all expecting him to be the 2C coming into this year, but that just didn't end up working out
-
I was inferring as a trade piece in a hockey trade to get us a 2C in the offseason. Or find another Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson type team desperate for defense ?
-
I will agree with that, and it is mostly because Beaulieu is not going to command a ton and has demonstrated that he can play the type of game that Housley wants. I think Scandella is the one that should be worried, as he is the most expensive and has struggled a bit this year while others have blossomed.

I expected Pilut to play well and eventually make the team, but I was not expecting the bolded to occur with such certainty in only a few games. Pilut has leapfrogged the 3rd pairing entirely and is now consistently playing in the top 4 and compliments Risto's excellent play very well. Bogo and Dahlin's pairing has been a positive surprise, and Risto - Pilut has been equally surprising and impressive. It's going to make it tough (in a good way) when we have to figure out who of McCabe, Scandella, Beaulieu, etc. makes the final pairing and how the depth shuffles out. But right now the top four are the guys noted above.

? They just had their best game of the year last night. The Mittelstadt line was excellent against the Coyotes. -

Thomas Plekanic might be a more realistic possibility. -

Totally unrelated - I really want to see a world where a team has both Panik and Vanek on the same line. Think of the alliteration possibilities! -

I'll add that this was the best game if the year for the Sheary-Mitts-OK line. They were legitimately dangerous tonight. More games like this and we will start looking like the team that win 10 straight -

That's two games in a row with decent secondary scoring. No surprise they have both been wins -

There is such a thing as too much foreplay -
We would all be signing his praises if he was put in the same position as the RAV line back in the day. Bringing up a whole line of young guys to be the third scoring line would be perfect for this team given the effectiveness of line 4. They could get sheltered minutes in the offensive zone and limit ice time when needed. Unfortunately we just don't have the 2nd line of veterans to be able to do this (more specifically the 2C to do this).

Oh yeah - on top of the foot elephantitis - the furnace took a ***** last week and I get to buy a brand new one for $5k+. Just what we need during the holiday season. The installation is scheduled for tomorrow, so hoping there aren't any unforeseen issues that cost me even more. The existing furnace has been a demon child for a long time now, needing repairs every year at the most inconvenient time so at least we are getting rid of the headache and the new one should be far more reliable... ... we hope.

Grade 2 ankle sprain over the weekend. Just what in needed a few weeks before Christmas as there are a ton of social events I had committed to over the next two weeks. I don't know how some of you work from home on a regular basis. This will be my fourth straight day and I am going stir crazy - any human contact at this point is welcome. My life has been shrunk to about 300 sq ft of my house. Edit: plus my right foot now looks like a beluga whale based on swelling + paleness

IIRC it was in the same post as the commitment. Not like a "oh ***** its tied now" post hours later.
