Yeah. When we outplay a team I'd like the scoreboard to reflect that. Bad teams can be outplayed for long stretches and get some counter attack goals to steal a win

I think Remi Ellie is a great 13th forward to have for one game bursts of energy. He is very much exposed as a regular player when he doesn't have that "just called up" energy

My comment was more around his lack of confidence in the defensive zone. Puck jumping over his stick, bobbling passes and chasing opponents.

Casey shows that when he has time and space he can be dangerous. Great pass on the (almost) goal

@Brawndo that was a great read - thanks for the link! It sounds like the last year and offseason has matured Eichel into a better leader and NHL player. We should remember that he came into the league as a young player with a lot of expectations, but also one who had never really experienced any struggles on the ice. Those challenges take some time to figure out how to react to and overcome. I'm glad to hear how last season's results motivated him to work on all aspects of his game and come out focused this year.

Those forwards (especially the centers) should make this team much better than they are, but then I go down to the defense and realize how good we have it with our lineup (thanks JBot!). Our Defense and Goaltending has differentiated us from other seemingly better teams on paper. I'm sure there were other fans saying the same thing about our lineup last year when we were rolling Eichel-O'Reilly as our top two and saying we should be better than last place. Glad to have hockey back - I've missed it during the holiday break.

I don't know why the Patriots are running a single pass play. The number of takeaways we have should be a formula for winning against NE.
