The Miami pass D should help to correct the offensive woes. They are bottom 3 in fantasy points allowed

Glad I picked up Chris Neil in SSGold then. He should be among the league leaders by the end of the year.
-
Hence the resistance for Vanek-for-captain in the first place. He leads on the scoresheet but not in the dental removal categories.
-
They obviously need to be told what to do and have their hands held. Bunch of pu$$ies

can't say I didn't see this one coming... For anyone who was still hanging on to the notion that the league will take care of this, here's your proof. You need to be able to take care of business as a TEAM when something like this happens.
-
You mean when Lucic only gets a game or two, or nothing at all? I don't think anyone is going to freak out too bad...

I agree 100% with ink on this one. We need to inject some serious toughness and grit into this team in order to have any chance at success in the playoffs. Why do you thnk many of us have been calling for Weber to play, excited about Kassian coming up, and talking about mythical trades to acquire Dustin Brown type players. I would surmise that everyone knows deep down that this team is too soft to win in the playoffs, and it has just been masked by the success and scoring in the regular season over the past few years. IMO it all comes back to Ruff and his d-men attacking, play the system mantra. His system is the one that has kept Weber on the bench, Regier's love for undersized finesse players intact, and no responsibility in the defensive zone. I'm disgusted by the way the Boston game was handled in all facets.

Bucky's piece today was absolute trash. There is nothing that Pegula should have to say. He is no more responsible for this than any of the other honorary board members of the Second Mile charity group. I don't see anyone calling for any of them to make comments. Pegula's best move is to lay low and focus on hockey and the Sabres.

the timeline you linked to further indicates that there are definitely some serious wrongdoings going on. It looks like numerous people at PSU knew what was going on fairly early on and continued to allow Sandusky access to the PSU campus and to young boys in the charity. Disgusting stuff

My complaint for the week is why am I only limited to two pickups per week in the SabreSpace Gold league? I took over one of the inactive teams and I have to play with injured/open spots in my lineup until next week cause I can only make two moves. It's gonna take a long time to rebuild if I only get two moves a week...

Bare necessities was the s#$%. When I was a kid I would jam to that all day.

SabreSpaceBlue and Gold 2013 Edition - Gold Only!

I would take one over if needed. I decided not to do Fantasy hockey this year to focus on football, but inactive owners irks me to no end. Do I get to pick the better roster at least :nana: Send me a PM or whatever with the details. -
I echo this sentiment. The fanbase got a taste of winning and all of sudden think they are world beaters. What I saw from the game was that the Jets dictated to the Bills what they were going to do on offense. Gailey seemed afraid of the 4 and 5 wide sets that made us so successful because of Revis and Cromartie. The Jets are able to play tight man and crowd the LOS so that the short passes are taken away and crowd freddie. It's just not a good matchup. That being said, the Bills will have to have an answer for it if they want to win the division/make the playoffs/play deep into February.

Leaving work right about now. F'N Fantastic. Happy Buffalo sports weekend to all!

I have been traveling for work for what equates to every week since the beginning of August. I know it's part of the job description but usually I get a week or so local to ease the burden a little bit. I'm just getting frustrated with not being able to see my friends and family in Buffalo since I'm gone all the time. Just mentioned it to my boss so hopefully that helps a little. Not many people complain that they don't get to spend all their time in Buffalo... ;)
-
Not sure, it's something the g/f is arranging. I've been out of town all week and am coming home this afternoon so I don't have all the details. It's supposedly a halloween bar crawl on chippewa - tickets to get drinks at the locations on the strip. And yes, it does sound like a great way to spend a friday night

heading back to Buffalo this afternoon, going to the game on Saturday, halloween bar crawl tonight. Just being home will make this F'N Fantastic.

Creston Iowa. Show up for my reservations in this crappy hotel in the middle of nowhere and they don't have my reservation on file (even though I have a copy in my hand). Told me they were full and I had to drive down the country road to the Super 8. If you've ever stayed in the middle of nowhere at a Super 8 you would understand my complaint
-
at least you spelled it correctly. Wouldn't want the grammar police on you...
-
Leaving work early, Sabres home opener at the F'N Center , and a trek over to Rochester for a wedding party with an open bar. F'N Fantastic

The ones that are always super obvious i.e. grass is green, unless you don't water it... the more you know!

At least they let you off with a 2 pager... Edwards' Arm is getting killed and its 10 pages/180+ relies long. Edit: Also, I thought Wilson had a great game on sunday and was all over the field. If that was your point then
-
Well I could have just said that, but I figured TSB would appreciate a little rhetoric instead :clapping:

I'm glad I can spark conversation. All your points are valid too, and we can't really say for sure unless it were to actually happen and see where the cards fall. It's certainly intriguing. My point was moreso that they have built strong camaraderie by being the underdogs, much like our Sabres have come together from the Europe trip, and may look at it as they have had success and now some FNG is coming in to try to join in that. TO could be perceived as an outcast for the simple sake that he wasn't here when the team was bonding through adversity. I relate it kind of like the movie 'The Replacements', when they finally brought back Martel (even though he was a perennial pro bowler) the rest of the team didn't want him but instead wanted the guy that got them this far (Falco). Talent isn't always everything... That's my quota of lame movie analogies ;)

While I appreciate your enthusiasm TSB, wouldn't signing TO go against the whole attitude of the team and its players as the guys that worked their way into the league as 7th rd/UDFA guys. That is the identity, and bringing in a high profile FA, particularly of TO's ilk, may ruin that persona.
