I feel you, I went 'zero RB' strategy in one league and he was my only RB in the top 20. I'm now starting Vereen and P. Thomas with Shonn Greene as my only backup.

Looks like Andre Ellington might be out for a little while with a foot injury. So much for all the hype about a breakout year... :( http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fantasy-roto-arcade/now-we-worry-about-andre-ellington-153654058.html

Just got the email from the department head that we get to head out at 3 today for the Labor Day weekend. That and the good weather and planned night on the town tonight with some friends makes this F'N Fantastic

Now I see a large mustached guy with a huge red helmet. The last thing I seem to interpret from that logo is the CH of hurricanes...
-
That logo is a bit... phallic? All I see is the black part in the center with the two "flags"

I'll agree on that one. I used to watch ESPN sportscenter pretty regularly, but everytime I have it on now it is generally a long discussion piece on Lebron, Manziel etc. and not scores and highlights. As a sports fan that does not care much about the NBA (or 'bouncy ball' as it is lovingly referred to around here), and doesn't need 24/7 NFL discussion, I have found myself going to the MLB Network and NHL Network for their highlight shows that surprisingly actually show highlights. I tried Fox Sports for a while as an alternative to Sportscenter, but their quality wasn't up to par when they first started.

Ink, I would agree with J. Thomas as the keeper selection. He is probably right behind Graham in the second tier of top TE. If you can have a difference maker there that gives you a huge leg up on a weekly basis. sidenote, I really enjoy the keeper at draft round format for fantasy, gives it a little more strategy than just keep your best few players. I was able to hit on this format in my dynasty baseball league and have Trout, Harper and Strasburg in the 21, 22, and 23rd rounds. Talk about dynasty...

Well guys and gals, enjoy this little logo rankings top 5 finish while you can. It might be the only time 'Sabres' and 'Top 5' can be uttered in the same sentance for a while. Then again if Pheonix (ahem Arizona) and Dallas are still in it, I question the validity of the rankings. Unless of course you mean 'Top 5 pick' or 'Top 5 prospect class', which are inherently best of the worst type rankings.

off topic Antique golf-themed mirror: great find or junk?
Samson's Flow replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
It would just make everyone confused when I change the name. It took me months to remember than Glass Case of Emotion was once Last Pommer Fan, for example. I really should stop picking usernames based on inconsequential 3rd and 4th liners... Good thing I didn't use "Touches Boyes" instead :bag: -

Careful. Sometimes imaginitive internet handles and usernames can backfire on you when you are stuck with an outdated/innapropriate reference. Sincerely, Touched by Boyes. -
I don't have anything to add to this great discussion, but wanted to mention that I have really enjoyed reading the viewpoints and stories in this thread. IT has helped me to greatly improve my understanding of depression and the state of mind behind it. Thanks.

Hey we will be camping at Keuka this weekend too (Friday through Sunday). We will be in the tents though - three sites next to each other filled with twenty somethings partying it up. Feel free to stop by and have a drink. ... on second thought you might not want to visit us if you brought along your family/morals. My complaint is I just started at a new job a few months back at a local bank HQ, and given my 5 years of work experience and high recommendations from former employers started at a relativey high position. However, they have been giving me nothing but brain dead report checking tasks. I get that i'm the new guy and need to pay my dues, but FFS I have skills that are being completely wasted at this current task. These are tasks for summer interns. Not to mention my once good eyesight will probably turn to $hit given the small text of said reports. ugghh.

Shush you... :bag:

Wow. Petition for wjag to win the 'little league participation' award or something...

No complaints here. Just wanted to throw my name in the hat. There's no reason to be anything but grateful to Tom Webster for running this contest as it give us a great barometer for fan opinion/expectations during the dreadful summer months. If it was just about the offseason I wouldn't have wasted my energy making such a long list

I think i'm doing pretty good. I was considering the Ehrhoff CBO, but I went against my gut figuring there is no way they bite that bullet.

That Blue Jay article was hilarious. Reminds me of those crazy black and red birds that are super territorial at golf courses. crazy birds. To your point on Wieters, there seems to be an alarming trend of big injuries this year to position players. Goldy, Prince Fielder, Y Molina, etc. all out for the year. Depth is important in baseball.

And here I thought I was the only Jays fan of the bunch around here. Everyone in Western NY seems to be a Yankees or Red Sox fan... I don't get it - you can drive to a game at the Rogers Center and the farm team is now (finally) here, but you'll root for a team 7 hours away just cause it says New York? Im amazed how the Jays have been able to hang in there with EE, Lawrie and Lind out for a significant period. Here's hoping they can hang on for the wildcard (or even catch the O's )

How many NFL teams have been up for sale in the last 10 years? Its a supply and demand thing more than anything else. You want an NFL team as a billionaire you better not miss the opportunity that is presented when one is available.

I am surmising that the lack of bids in terms of quantity is an indication that Pegula means business and has the wealth, liquidity and the hometown interests that will make it very difficult for another owner to make a winning bid without seriously overpaying. This may have scared off some of the other potential bidders that may want an NFL team but decided to wait it out until the next team is on the market.

Coincidence that all these new restaurants are opening on or near Main street as soon as it looks respectable and has car traffic? The city has finally gotten out of its own way and is making some progress to having a decent downtown scene (that doesn't involve 18 year olds stumbling through chippewa night clubs). Hopefully all of the nicer restaurants and asthetics will shift the homeless/undesirable population that currently spends most of thier time on Main St. during the day...

Sabres sign Luke Adam to eternal one-year, two-way deal
Samson's Flow replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Totally agree that Adam in Rochester is a solid move to give them a vet winger. I was wall bashing the inevitable trade deadline proposals of including Adam as a prospect that has any value to other teams. Y'know, the Ennis + Adam for Patrick Kane type offers. -
I too tried Resurgence Brewery a few weeks back and had the sponge candy stout. The fiance had the loganberry wit. As a guy who does not generally like dark stouts, the finish of caramel/chocolate on it was very nice and made it highly drinkable on a hot summer day. The loganberry wit ellicited a 'meh' reaction and I ended up finishing her beer too. Really cool place in terms of atmosphere though. Defintiely planning another trip. Like chef boy ar dee? Related story - excited about leftover cheese raviolis for lunch.

Sabres sign Luke Adam to eternal one-year, two-way deal
Samson's Flow replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Surely this is the year that everyone else in the league will be looking to acquire Luke Adam at the trade deadline? He's a top prospect right? bring on the trade offers! .... .... .... :wallbash: -
