  1. The most infuriating part is you usually know what to do, just not which command you need to enter in orer to make your pixely character do what he's supposed to. No wonder kids in the 80's and 90's just played outside.
  2. @buffalobills Doug Marrone: @CJSPILLER will be added to the 53-man roster. He's officially listed as PROBABLE for Sunday. #BUFvsOAK Even if he plays I don't think he gets many touches. But who knows.
  3. At least he was more creative than the "Shoot It!" guy. That's gotta count for something right?
  4. I wasn't meaning that any of that was over the line, more of a general commentary on the state of the internets. It was quite the adventure that Derrico went on. He got to ride a liger, receive the stick of Zemgus, and witness the beauty that is Ink's calves. It killed him, but oh the splendor.
  5. Did he quit when he made 60 savs to get a shutout and win a playoff game 1-0? This is where I am coming from. Watching him play was sometimes a near supernatural experience.
  6. This is far longer than I ever expected an NBA based topic to last here. Usually that is squashed out pretty quickly with a dismissive "who cares about bounceyball?!"
  7. Good point. However, predicting wins and losses based on strength of schedule is often folly. Happens all the time in football and the results are rarely as predicted. Heck, the sabres started their winning streak beating Montreal and Tampa Bay who are two top teams in the East.
  8. It's a miracle any of our lady posters stick around here... Every female encountered in the story was either verbally or physically hit on or propositioned. You need some thick skin to wander the internets... There's still like $300 Mil left in the Buffalo Billion. Surely this project would take priority?
  9. I played a game with commands like this on my original PC. It was the most frustrating thing ever because half the things you wanted to do would be rejected due to bad command structure. Took ages to figure out how to leave the first area. Entertaining read nonetheless. Happy Holidays!
  10. Hasek single-handedly provided me with the fondest memories of the Sabres during the cup runs. Without him, I would have witnessed ZERO stanley cup finals games. I'm not voting for him until it's down to the very end. RJ on the other hand? As a non-player I think his time has finally come. He has the voice of all Sabres-related memories, but I can't rationally vote out Gil, Rico or Dom before him.
  11. I really thought the "Mike Green" trophy had a nice ring to it
  12. I keep picturing the scene from the "Replacements". We're the guards. We protect the quarterback. (wish I wasn't at work so I could embed the youtube vid)
  13. Agreed. I don't think there would be much argument that Datsyuk isn't a top 5 talent from his draft (maybe even the top talent), despite the draft poistion being way late. That has certainly helped Detroit win the cup, but everyone keeps pointing to them as the "you don't need top picks" case. For argument sake though, it is much easier to use a non-subjective metric like actual draft position to determine predictive success. It will be tough to get a consensus here on who the top 5 talents were in each draft.
  14. I love Jim Carrey. Even if he's Canadian.
  15. As an aside, these are the types of move that Darcy never did. Identify a guy and swing for the fences. Eventually I think GMTM needs to do the same. We can't ice all 30 of our 1st and 2nd round prospects at once. Don't know if Hall is the guy, but he could end up in that elite tier that we have been missing for many years.
  16. Risky. but yes. Myers and Griggy is what I would prefer.
  17. I mean he was a good team player when he scored over a point a game for Team Canada at the WJC a few years back... Maybe the cesspool that is EDM is the reason for his frustration.
  18. Now I have to fix my sarcastic math equation as well. ###### Liger get your facts straight!
  19. So that means... Stewart Mitchell + Injury = Grigorenko Grigorenko is as bad as an injured Stewart Mitchell? We're effed. :bag: edited for correct math variables.
  20. So are you guys on MySpace?...
  21. I will say that players of Hall's talent that have the work ethic and hustle of our Girgensons are never available in trades and rarely if ever see Free Agency. The only time players of that talent level are available for trade are when there are work ethic/maturity issues.
  22. This should be a weekly dedicated thread. There's plenty of pictures of big hits to choose from on a weekly basis. The commentary from the Sabrespace team here is nothing short of outstanding. :worthy:
  23. I don't think there is one 23 year old who would react like everyone here seems to want him to when he is the best player on a bad team who also is thrust into leading the team. I know I am certainly a much different person now than I was at 23. Maybe, just maybe, being able to take a back seat on the leading the team out of suckitude will allow Taylor Hall to focus more on his game and produce without the leadership tag distracting him. Let established veterans lead the locker room. The Sabres may not have tons of talent right now, but I do think we have strong veteran leadership.
  24. Does the whole thread just get closed if that happens? I don't think Taro would want to keep tracking the random bottom feeders if the Sabres are out.
  25. Agreed that Seguin isn't their best player. But projecting forward our best player shouldn't be Hall. Reinhart, Risto/Zad, 1st rounder this year all have the potential to be better. But we are still missing that top scoring winger in the formula to cup success. Hall can be that. Also the immaturity concern is mitigated for me because we have such a strong locker room/leadership culture with veterans like Gionta, Gorges and our young Girgs. Edmonton is being led by the three wonderkids line with Hall being the best of them. That's why EDM is such a train wreck IMO.
