That was my next question. Damn you're good Liger. So with all this new information, I will revise my original roster prediction to saying that we need a top LHS defensemen to pair with Bogosian. The our defense next year looks like this: #1 LHD Bogosian (RHD) Zadorov (LHD) Risto (RHD) Gorges (LHD) Psysk (RHD) Spare - Weber (LHD) -
23-man roster predictions for 2015-16 season

Sorry guys, probably should have looked it up first. I just remember everyone was making a big deal out of Myers being a RHS and that basically everyone else was a LHS. We need to balance up our defense to improve passing and one-timer ability. Nevermind, it isn't as badly skewed towards leftys as I thought. NO. NAME AGE HT WT SHOT BIRTH PLACE BIRTHDATE 61 Andre Benoit 31 5-11 191 L St. Albert, Ontario 1/6/84 47 Zach Bogosian 24 6-3 215 R Massena, New York 7/15/90 4 Josh Gorges 30 6-1 203 L Kelowna, British Columbia 8/14/84 41 Andrej Meszaros 29 6-2 223 R Povazska Bystrica, Czechoslovakia 10/13/85 55 Rasmus Ristolainen 20 6-3 201 R Turku, Finland 10/27/94 24 Tyson Strachan 30 6-3 210 R Melfort, Saskatchewan 10/30/84 6 Mike Weber 27 6-2 212 L Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 12/16/87 51 Nikita Zadorov 19 6-4 200 L Moscow, Russia 4/15/95 Of those, I see us keeping Bogosian ®, Gorges (L), Risto ® and Zadorov (L) long term. -

Yep I have googled it numerous times. I am targeting Justin Williams for this, but GMTM may have another name up his sleeve. By the way, when I mentioned significant activity, that does not preclude a trade for a RW, if the UFA list doesn't tickle your fancy. -
I'm coming around to this, especially since I am struggling in the "next year's roster" thread finding a place for Grigorenko. There is an obvious talent gap at RW, and Grigo could be the piece that lands GMTM a first line RW to pair with Kane and McEichel.

My preference would be Bradford over Cutler, but either one is a definite NFL starter. We could use one of those.

Plus have you ever tried to shave with one of those pink lady razors? They are basically useless. I don't know how the ladies do it...

Yeah, at least take the extra minute in order to ensure that you know where you are going. How are you supposed to road rage at the other cars if you can't even see 'em?

To get back to the topic at hand, so far after two games I am very happy with the swap of Myers for Bogosian. Bogo has been extremely solid in the defensive zone, brings an attitute and physical style to the defense, and also has the offensive game as well. His outlet passing has been the best on the team (I think back to the Ennis three line pass that was called offsides). The Kane portion of the trade was obviously the key component of this deal, but so far I think GMTM upgraded the defense. Thats not to say Myers isn't a good player, but I prefer Bogo's game. (at least after two games)

Most of the time it just re-covers the back window with snow when you hit the highway. I just scraped that off and now it looks like i'm one of those that doesn't brush off thier back window. :censored:

In terms of pure talent in a vacuum that is probably what it would cost, but Kessel's cap hit of $8MM for a long term commitment will probably bring the return down. Add in Toronto's willingness/eagerness to blow it up and move him (which was a factor in the Kane trade), and the price won't be equal to Kessel's raw talent. or his raw weight either ;)

23-man roster predictions for 2015-16 season
Samson's Flow replied to PalmTreeMafia's topic in The Aud Club
Oh yeah agreed. It's just really tough to predict the offseason trades that GMTM will make with any certainty, since I am confident it will be for a name that few have on their radar. I will say that it will probably be for a player in a similar mold to Evander Kane, i.e. good size, talented player coming off a down year that has shown top line skill in the past. People around here will be shocked by the price of giving up our prized prospects, but in GMTM's world, there are only 12 deck chairs out there for the forwards, and he'd rather have some talented ###### fill those seats than Compher/Bailey/Fashing all sitting in the same chair. Way I see it, we need a top line RW opposite Kane and McDavid for the first line. This is the trade above. Second line is set at Moulson, Reinhart, Ennis. Ennis is a little small, but has shown the talent to make up for it. Could be a spot for a Justin Williams who I believe is GMTM's type of player. Third line is traditional checking/shutdown line. Any number of Zemgus/Foligno/Gionta/Grigo etc will fill this. Fourth line is the agitator line, with Deslauriers types down there. So here's what we're missing in GMTM's world. Bold is acquisitions and italics are possible upgrades. Kane McDavid #1 RW Moulson Reinhart Ennis Foligno Girgensens Gionta Deslauriers #4 C #4 RW Bogosian #1 RHD Ristolainen Zadorov Gorges Pysyk Starting Goalie Backup Goalie -
More evidence towards the elite NHL defenseman camp. It's gonna be tough to convince me otherwise.

Now i'm thinking of a double stuffed oreo skating down the ice. mmhm double stuffed...

Nice. I especially like #11 in the wiki 11. That no shoes or boots with spikes or sprigs be allowed.

Yeah. Twice as fat. (hushed silence from the stunned crowd)

GDT Sabres at New Jersey 2-17-2015 7:30 NBCSN

To be fair, the Devils leaders aren't exactly lighting it up. (Then again they are also the second lowest scoring team, by a pretty wide margin) -
Sabres player notes 2014-15 (callups, injuries, practice notes)
Samson's Flow replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Well if we only played 70 games this year, we would certainly (edit: possibly) break that record. We currently have 104 GF in 56 games played. That works out to a pace of 130 GF in 70 games played. Historically bad. By the way, the next lowest scoring teams this year is NJ Devils, with 124 GF in 56 games and Arizona, with 131 GF in 58 games. Y'know only 20 and 27 more goals than us. Based on my math above, we are on pace to score that many the rest of the season. So even if NJ or Arizona fell into a black hole and didn't score another goal all season, we would have a tough time passing them at our current pace. -
Obviously. There aren't many donut shops in Russia.

23-man roster predictions for 2015-16 season
Samson's Flow replied to PalmTreeMafia's topic in The Aud Club
This is basically the current lineup adding McEichel and Reinhart. Not exactly inspiring the masses to be competitive, as the current roster is one of the all-time worst NHL teams. I'm thinking that GMTM has way more up his sleeve than hoping a 19yrs old and a 20 yr old lead the team to the playoffs. What that will be is anyone's guess, but i'm thinking there will be significant FA action to fill out the wings.
