Well that didn't last long. Any room down in the Housley hole guys? Is there a secret password? Sam just had a 2pt game + GWG in the shootout with ERod and CJ Smith on his line, so lets blow that one up starting next practice. JFC.

Loving the Samson love boys! That said, if Phil doesn't leave the Sam-ERod-CJ line alone for the next few games I'm coming to join you all in the Housley hole
-
Yeah - my wife thinks I act like a child, so I would have fit right in.
-
That was the best game from Reinhart all year. Coming out party for #23... (on his own line Phil)

Coo coo cachoo!

That Thomson sure does have a nice shot when nobody is around him
-
Oh look - Sam with his own line scores a beauty
-
Especially since Okposo looks glacially slow compared to Eichel and Sheary. Every time he touches the puck the offensive pressure dies

Anyone in the Buffalo area have any interest in the Harlem Globetrotters? My wife bought 3 tickets for Friday night (7pm @ KBC) before realizing we can't go that we need to now sell. Only asking for $90 for all three ($30/per), which is lower than StubHub/Ticketmaster for similar seats. PM me for details.

The State of the Sabres' Union is _________.

Don't worry the new lines are only going to last through the first period anyways.

I heard this on the radio this morning in Buffalo, and was going to post it today but you beat me to it (since it is in your neck of the woods).

Florida GM: "Imagine if we got all of the goalies on our team, think of how easy it would be to score goals then!" Advisors: "You know that isn't how it works right...?" Florida GM: "It's like when they pull the goalie at that end of the game, but all the time!" Advisors: *facepalm*

In theory this is a great point, but Phil Housley has consistently demonstrated that he does not line match whatsoever.
-
Unless this is some weird Seattle expansion play - like how Pittsburgh basically guaranteed that MAF would be the starting goalie for the Golden Knights.
-
Yeah the last time this experiment happened (Sam on his own line) it lasted all of 10 minutes before the S-E-R line was reunited. We'll see how long PH gives his new combos, but I suspect it won't be long.

This however is like throwing ***** at the wall. Despite .500 results the last few games, the previous Rodrigues-Mittelstadt-Sheary line was finally creating scoring opportunities to support the Eichel line - but let's blow everything up and start over!

This I can get behind.

I'm totally on board with trading for a 26 year old former 25 goal scorer with a reasonable contract (signed a three-year, $13.8 million contract extension in 2017). The Kings sound like they are looking to rebuild a little bit, so I would see if we can entice them with the picks we have available. Also, from the sounds of it, the Kings bloggers feel he could be more effective in a faster paced offense compared to the Kings "old and slow" roster. https://www.jewelsfromthecrown.com/2018/12/3/18124667/the-curious-case-of-tyler-toffoli-los-angeles-kings

Has Johansson stayed up with the Amerks after getting his first start a few weeks ago? How has he looked so far?
-
I don't think that package even gets us in the conversation, but I don't mind targeting Toffoli. We've killed Beaulieu's value by not playing him, and the next years 2nd ~ equals a 2019 3rd.

GDT: Blackhawks @ Sabres 2/1/2019, 7PM EST
Samson's Flow replied to SABRES 0311's topic in The Aud Club
This is exactly right. The number of times the Sabres cycle in the offensive zone and effectively get a man open in the slot, and then instead of shooting they try a cross ice pass to the guy on the half-wall or a drop pass to the point for the shot. The whole point of zone possession is to get a shot in the spot you are standing - why are you passing?!? It was very apparent in the Blackhawks game on Friday. At times the Sabres dominated zone possession and had prime scoring opportunities that were passed up for bad shots, which missed the net and sprung the counter-attack odd man rush. It was infuriating to watch. -
No thank you. Then again, every one of my avatar/name sakes on this site have been traded at one point, so maybe it is inevitable (Goose, Boyes, etc.)

Championship!

This is exactly what happened at the party I was at. People went from watching the game to sharing the best gifs/twitter memes showing how boring the game was or how bad the halftime show was. Apparently there was also a WWE wrestling event that was occurring during the halftime show that got some attention on a laptop in the back room.
