Not to thread-jack, but I read this as an argument for Pete Rose given his cheating/gambling history. The point you were making is even though he leads in all-time hits he's not in the hall of fame due to perceived slight against the integrity of the game? Similar for Barry Bonds et al. Am I close?

Is it sad I had to do math cause I kind of forgot. 26. (you kind of stop keeping track past early 20's amirite?)

I think my issue was more mental. He had grown up always being so much better than everyone around him that his overwhelming talent would allow him to be successful. When he got drafted and was thrust into the NHL, he still carried that "I'm more talented than everyone else" mindset, which made him look disengaged on the ice. The last few years I think he is starting to understand that the NHL is a totally different game, and you need to be engaged and focused at all times to get a chance to show your talent. Yes, he grew into his body a bit, but his first few years he sort of expected the puck to come to him whereas last year he was more actively pursuing and making the puck come to him.

You're 28? F### that's old. I always thought you were younger than me...

Just like if the smartest kid in the class cheated on a final exam. Most likely he/she didn't need the help, but the cheating could have been the difference between a 96 and a 100. That kid is still going to be punished the same way as the C- student who was caught cheating. Cheating is cheating. That there have been consistent and varied accusations of cheating against the Patriots only further validates that this is an intentional and deliberate culture in New England.

I'm expecting the Sabres to be attempting to contend for the last wild card spot next year, and as such they will be icing their best team they can. Players like Strachan and Benoit were there as veteran fillers to keep the wheels from falling off in a rough season. However, they don't have the talent and consistent production that a team with playoff aspirations needs. Basically, if they are on the roster in starting roles, we aren't making it next year.

At this point I don't really even know what is going to happen, since the show is basically just using the characters to do their own thing at this point. It's kind of exciting not knowing what is going to happen now. Last night was certainly the best episode of the season, and it looks like things will continue to get interesting now that the Sons of the Harpy have pissed off Daenerys and the sand snakes are finally a part of the episodes.

Nope. Episode 9 of every season has had a major battle or a shocking murder. That's the GoT m.o.

I assume that is a link to our favorite midget center. Right?

Luke Adam was going to be a star until Lindy ruined him.

As has been pointed out to me, NS is very much East from Western New York. So the great white not-so-north in this case
-
If that is the case, then I am glad that the front office who made that decision is now no longer with the team. Rolston was not a good coach IMO.

What you do on your table is none of my business...

No way the Penguins go for that. We would have to include Eichel, Reinhart, Girgensons, Kane, Kim Pegula, Sabretooth's head and a year's supply of chicken wings for Pittsburgh to even consider that trade. And even then they might not do it.

Tim Connolly sucks and needs to go. Drew Stafford sucks and needs to go. Tyler Myers sucks and needs to go. ... Cody Hodgson sucks and needs to have letters removed from his name. :nana:

You know the old cliche: Those who can't do teach, and those who can't teach run off to join the circus as a trapeze act... :P (Just kidding we love your work!) -
With Kane at #9, how would you feel if Eichel took....#99

Pictures replacing numbers is the future. Traditionalists can suck it. :nana: -
I'm with TrueBlue on this one. Rolston was a "screw it lets just promote the AHL guy" move. If we're going to go the AHL coach route, it should be a from an established track record of success in that league. Someone who is innovative and has some fresh ideas.
-
Just not Rolston level AHL :wallbash:

Cuz Crosby = Championship. Obvi.

Oh I agree, I hate it too. The experience argument usually just means that you have failed at this job before, since most "experienced" head coaches are bad enough to get fired once or twice. I am kind of rooting for a new name with a chance to be great.

Just a boring finance guy working for a major bank. Welcome to the cube farm. -
IMO he hangs up his skates before he goes back to spending a whole year in Rochester. He's been a full time (albeit injured) NHL'er for the last few seasons.
