  1. He's the worst player on that line. L o freaking L. It's exciting to see that lineup on paper
  2. I really like what Calgary had done this weekend. That defense is going to be amazing
  3. This is the one closest to what I'm thinking. That first line is so fast. I might have Reinhart play center but having ROR makes an easy switch on the fly if we need to shelter the rookie. The only missing piece is the top 4 lefty dman. There's a ton of choices in free agency though I'm probably happiest to see that Girgensens is still around to play the third line where I always wanted him to go.
  4. Bittner fell pretty far too. Quite a few of the guys we discussed in that 21 range dropped
  5. Its on NHL network right now. Picks come fast and furious
  6. I did see tons of the prospects at the canalside concert that Thursday. You gotta remember they're still teenagers
  7. To further expand: I'd like defensemen to not be noticed. They're like linemen in football - when you notice them its mostly when they mess up. Pysyk v Zadorov is a good example
  8. From my observation neither does GMTM. Zadorovs play style is too risky/reward for predictable success imo. He can blow up the play and get on the highlight reel but he can also lose his man and cost a goal. That's too inconsistent for playoff hockey for me. Good luck Zads
  9. Wooo America! They played way better without Wambach. Pressure all over the field
  10. Agreed. Because our core is so young, we basically have 2-3 years to restock whatever prospect gaps we may have. It's not like we're LA or Boston
  11. White and Kochehny still out there. White taken by Ottawa with our pick
  12. In a few moments we will know what the 21st pick is. Is there anyone here that you would rather have if the Sabres still had it? White? Konecny?
  13. I really miss the Roy and Connolly days. :nana:
  14. I'm shocked. Can't believe they didn't take Strome. /s
  15. I'm totally okay with that trade. Like that's almost an underpayment based on what was tossed around here recently I'm pumped
  16. The Bruins know they don't have to pick in order right? I can't remember any team having back-to-back-to-back picks...
  17. Nice! I shot an 85 the day before my wedding. 9 pars. That's easily 6-7 strokes better than my average. Thought that was a pretty good omen for the wedding day.
  18. I'll eat my dirty undies if Edmonton or Buffalo trades out of #1/#2. We discussed this for months during the season. Nobody is trading out of McDavid or Eichel. The Lindros-esque trade isn't possible in the capped NHL anymore.
  19. Yeah you're right. but same point. You can never have too much talent.
  20. The Ducks didn't need Neidermayer because they had Pronger... :wallbash:
  21. That's what i've been trying to get at. My posts were just longer and more confusing. GMTM moved up the development of *insert top goalie drafted in 2015* three years at the cost taking on Legwand's contract. It fits our timeframe for being a competitive team.
  22. Oh I totally agree that it is faulty logic for GM's. But it is certainly a factor in more trades than you would think.
  23. Betcha those other offers were coming from Eastern Conference teams. They don't want to have to play Hamilton more than twice a year. IMO this was a bigger factor than most are considering.
  24. I don't like it more for the contract than the actual player. We lose a lot of our young cheap RFA contract for a big market-rate signing
  25. My only thought is that the Flames being in the west may have factored in. Doubt they would trade him in division even if we had the same package.
