  1. Of course now they call an interference call...
  2. That works for me. That way DD can shuffle the bottom 6 to his hearts content. We only have like 8 interchangeable players for that role
  3. Also can we please keep this version of Zemgus up on Eichels line? Makes our top two lines so much more dangerous
  4. That's a hell of a play by Ristorhino
  5. I'm about as pumped for a Tuesday night game in December as I can be. All those fights and cheap shots early has me really wanting to beat Detroit
  6. By the power of Zemgus. Sweet feed by big Z. Screen in front was key
  7. Yeah Kaner! Dude is having one hell of a game tonight. PP looks good tonight
  8. Thanks weave
  9. As a follow up I did some internetting today and here's the list I landed on for my holiday wishlist: Bourbon Blanton's single barrel bourbon $65 Four Roses single barrel $40 W.L. Weller 12yr $30 John E Fitzgerald Larceny $25 Scotch Highland Park 18yr $105 or 12yr $50 Macallan 10yr Cask Strength $70 Balvenie Double Wood 12yr $50 Bunnahabhain 8yr MacPhail Collection $38 Queen Margot Blended 8yr $22 But what do I know? P.s. I'd still defer to Weave, LTS, Dom or Bio for their experience
  10. I also picked up a gift box of Glenmorangie 12 yr for my mom's boyfriend. He drinks dirt cheap scotch so I wanted to get him a nicer pour. I think I prefer the rye bourbons as I have moved from Evan Williams in college to Makers Mark to Buffalo Trace. I am very tempted to try some scotches but the price point on that side of the aisle usually scares me away. Something about the $60-$70 price tag makes me think twice about trying a bottle without tasting it first.
  11. Based on your recommendations I ventured to the local Premier Wine & Spirits and grabbed an Elijah Craig 12 yr as a gift to a friend and brought the misses along and hinted to her some of my preferences in the whisky and scotch aisles. A lot of the hints were for some choices that I have yet to try but have peaked my interest from the descriptions in this thread. Normally I am a Buffalo Trace/Makers Mark drinker, but I am looking to expand my horizons to truly know what I like in my whisky. Much appreciated for all the posts upthread.
  12. Thanks for the advice gents. I feel relatively confident in selecting a new laptop for the misses, but it always helps to have a few comments to make sure I'm on the right track. Does anyone have any experience with the refurbished models from Newegg? The one below has pretty good specs for the price point, including a small SSD (although the CPU is an older Ivy-Bridge 3000 series). She only uses the laptop for internet, facebook games and photo storage (we have an external 1TB hard drive). I figure this should be more than enough for her needs for only $470. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834264186&ignorebbr=1
  13. It is poopy scheduling, even though the point you make is very true. You should evenly spread these matchups over the course of a full season in order to even out any effects of injuries or team development. What if in the month stretch that we played TB a ton they had Stamkos and then he gets a season ending injury this week? Other eastern teams get a much easier opponent than the TB we saw. These events are mitigated if we play teams evenly throughout the year.
  14. RJ for his Yeichel call. Other than that there have been a few players struggling a bit (Moulson, Zemgus) but it is the first time in two years I have genuinely enjoyed watching Sabres games. Hard to be disappointed in that.
  15. Thank you baby Jesus. and Raptor Jesus
  16. Ideally - and this is for any sport - it should be apparent to the viewer who won the game even if the score is not displayed. For example you watch a basketball/soccer/baseball game at the amateur level and it's usually pretty obvious which team is playing better. 9 times out of 10 when you ask the score that team is winning. Watching the Sabres v Blues game without looking at the score the Sabres should have been winning handily. They lost. Grrr.
  17. By the way he was holding his arm late, this is shocking news to me. It looked like a pretty bad AC joint injury to me.
  18. Actually it is to come up with another revolutionary rule change similar to the allowance of the forward pass in 1930. So what radical change is like this? Fewer players (4 v 4?), no offsides/icing and body sized goalie pads (think baseball catcher's shin pads) are the three I can think of.
  19. It took me a full 10 minutes and multiple reads of this post to realize it meant you had no work left to do rather than tons of work/staying late. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why that was in the awesome thread. Yay reading comprehension.
  20. Think of the children Eich - you're supposed to be a role model. Why can't you be more like O'Reilly?
  21. That is truthfully, exactly what the internet is for.
  22. That's not a terrible choice either, since you will still catch at least 3 quarters of the Bills game. Here's hoping it's still a game by the time you tune in.
  23. Also, I'm an idiot. Hockey playoffs and Football playoffs are not at the same time.
