As someone who agrees that a person should be able to do and use whatever is available to treat an illness/improve their situation, I am firmly on the side of the players. The NFL is getting far too focused on being a police force rather than remembering that without the players, there is no game. Especially with the league pushing dangerous pain pills onto players, I am amazed that this hasn't blown up into a bigger deal than it already is. Nobody is filling up a 70K stadium to watch you and me play football.

Isn't this weekend a three day holiday weekend? Problem solved!

That's what I'm getting at. With Sammy as #1 i'm okay with Woods at 2 and the rest aren't great but fine as 3-5. If Sammy were to get hurt, I think we are totally screwed with Woods being the top guy left. That's what scares me.

The Sabres Hockey Hotline with... somebody or other?

I could always use more Marty Biron in my life. Keep in mind that Coller reportedly left because WGR pays like dog-doo, so it's not like they are going to bring in some A-list level talk show talent. I think we are stuck with bored ex-players for a while. -
That and here's hoping that the new signings/trades like McCray, Lewis and Humber are worth keeping around. We haven't seen anything from them and there have been some surprising cuts. That WR room still scares the bejesus out of me.

You guys are going to make me watch this - all of you can't be wrong about a show can you? **remembers the Vesey thread** on second thought maybe you all can be wrong... :nana:

In case you are all curious, Bills.com has the full list of the 53 that made the team. Lots of Safetys and LB's. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Roster-Analysis-Bills-go-heavy-at-LB-and-S/13ea2e2e-fd1a-4284-827d-bef46c36f174

Good thing the Chargers waited all this time to fight over meaningless offset language and prevented their first round pick from attending camp. It's not like he's a rookie and needs all the practice and training camp time he can get. Way to stick up for precedent San Diego... Idiots.

If Americans are good at one thing, it is ignoring the rules in the name of Capitalism :)

Attended the Elmwood Festival of the Arts over the weekend. It still amazes me how grown adults cower in fear when there are bees present. Run from their food and flail incessantly. the woman across from me had one go in her Starbucks Mocha Latte Frappichino Gordita Crunch and basically lost her $hit. I was tempted to call 911...

Sidethought: If every GM in Hockey were to get together and attend an all-out rager weekend, where the booze was flowing, how would our GM fair? Would we end up with a lot of bad drunken trades or would GMTM be able to hold his booze and take advantage of the other teams GM's before they pass out from the Fireball shots? Inquiring minds want to know... :nana:

Most of the starters didn't even dress. A lot of the oline/dline, mccoy just to name a few. Totally agree it's a great move. Injury chance is the only worry in these games

I don't know if I've ever seen such a bad roughing the passer call in my life. It is now a penalty to sack the QB

My take is that they've been wanting to get rid of her ever since her domestic violence charges, but since she head and shoulders above the other goalies talent wise they let her hang on. Now that she had demonstrated that her talent is diminishing the cons outweigh the pros. Hockey analogy: She used to be Sidney Crosby and now she is Mike Richards. Much easier to cut Richards

there a worse places to be than passed out on a beach... ... like hanging out with Derek Roy?

Sabres announce dynamic ticket pricing
Samson's Flow replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
I would imagine that this will be a way for the team to ensure a full building most nights, much like when teams do a "giveaway" for a lower demand game. That being said, for the home Leafs games, I'm sure they will jack those up pretty quick given the demand. -

There's a reason I keep my post count suppressed. Don't want to end up like you two.... :nana: -
Our dynamic duo walking down the hall after a entertaining game against the (Coyotes?) in which after the game ended Bogosian went all Mike Tyson on everyone who dared to challenge him. This appeared to be a huge moment in the growth of the Sabres and specifically Eichel and Reinhart.

The Bills offense needs far more Charles Clay, especially over the middle. The team has the weapons to be effective as long as they utilize the whole field.

Is it sad that I learned all of the things you mentioned by playing hours of Gran Tourismo as a kid? Made me a much better (?) driver by understanding the dynamics of optimized braking/acceleration.

I too will be going to that - a little throwback to the band of my youth. First cd I ever bought! Me!

Maybe I should have read the article before giving it weight. Only Chicago of those choices sounds logical to me...

This is exactly what I was expecting would come out a few days before. Slowly but surely we hear leaks of the list dwindling.

Today is my last day of this hellish work week(s) and tomorrow the Mrs. and I are heading off to Chitown for some much needed R&R. This vacation and time away from work couldn't have come at a better time - dinner reservations booked for every night, river cruise on the first night, Sunday night Cubs/Cards at Wrigley. Should be pretty nice. As an aside - my employer can suck a giant bag of a thousand marinated in Sidney Crosby's hairless ball sweat. :censored:

Remember that the last time Liriano was good was when he had Russell Martin catching him in Pittsburgh. The Blue Jays catcher is... Russell Martin. That and the Pirates gave the Jays two prospects in addition means that they were more giving Liriano and his $12MM salary than anything else. From my perspective it is a purely upside move that allows the Jays to move Sanchez to the bullpen like they want. (which might hurt us more than anything else - he's been great this year)
