If it helps, yesterday's game the MSG WNY broadcast just picked up the TSN home feed from Ottawa. Maybe they will be doing the same thing with the Toronto away game Thursday if we are not sending a broadcast team up there. Just speculating.

Good point, but i'm not going to be sitting in front of my laptop searching through Youtube for the highlights while I am sitting eating my breakfast in the morning. Sportscenter to me was always passive watching/background noise but instead of looking up to see a sweet catch or home run, I am now looking at Stephen A Smith's ugly mug.

Derek Grant looked really good in last night's game. Granted it is one game in the preseason, but I thought he carried play and made a lot of heady moves around the net. Could be a good find for the Amerks.

And to think, when I was younger I used to watch ESPN Sportscenter non-stop for multiple hours - for the highlights. Now if you keep Sportscenter on you maybe get 20 minutes of highlights and 40 minutes of sports personalities speculating on upcoming games. The whole model has changed (for the worse). I usually watch MLB Network more than ESPN now-a-days.

Sabres "Fantasy Gambling" Contest
Samson's Flow replied to Ghost of Dwight Drane's topic in The Aud Club
I'm in as well. Now I need to go back to post #1 and get a refresher on the rules - assuming we are still "betting" the set blocks based on the line? -
Took the first pitch of the at bat right handed as a tribute, then hit a lead off homer from the left side. Can't imagine playing baseball after all that and the huge ceremony at the start of the game around the pitchers mound. I'd be useless for the rest of the day. #theresnocryinginbaseball

Teppo won "Hottest Man in Finland" for multiple years IIRC. The flow certainly helped.

The non-Myers direction.

He's an RFA under team control. If they traded him away now I would personally go and upper deck GMTM's porcelain throne.

Even though I had to turn on my heat the other day to keep some out of town guests comfy, I still think you need to sack up and wait until October. Or y'kno insulate your damn bedroom...

That's the one! (I think)

Even if that is the case, I think the Cardinals are the best team in the NFC, which gives us the same chance of winning as the guy who ate it into the bus at the Bills Tailgate.

Guys, guys. I was the leader of the Cody Hodgson fan club. He was going to be our legit #1 center for the next decade. ...and Brad Boyes would revive his career and score 20+ consistently for us. ...and Paul Gaustad would grow to be a dominant physical force and be our version of Lucic ...who was that guy that scored 2 goals in his first game after being traded to us? I loved him too. Basically anyone who was traded to us in my younger years is going to be a stud and be a lifelong Sabre.

My dad is having his annual reunion weekend for his old HS and College buddies that have left the area. They come back and tour around the town on Saturday and on Sunday they go to the bills game. This year they managed to snag a suite/box by pulling some corporate connections within the group, and as such an extra ticket popped free for me to tag along with the old farts. I don't think I have ever been less excited to go to a Bills game to watch the actual game. This Sunday will be 90% boozing/enjoying the suite/shooting the chit and 10% Bills game. I'm not letting a 35-7 beatdown ruin a perfectly good Sunday afternoon.

You just know that the checkout/cashier folks at grocery stores and gas stations have some stories. They are probably immune to it after a while, but they have certainly seen some s###.

I for one want this deal done yesterday. Every game I watch him eat minutes as the #1 D for the Finland team makes me think he has the right stuff for a long term 7-8 year deal. Let's commit to the young players and hope for bargains in 2-3 years when they hit their stride.

Just thinking - it might be more important to have two legs than two arms to swim fast... *note I do not know the situation you referenced above, just speculating* regardless, it is always impressive how talented and resilient these athletes are.

So I read this schedule that you posted about three times trying to figure out the logistics of how they were going to get from the FNC rink to the Harbor Center in only five minutes... Then I realized they are referencing the two rinks both inside the Harbor Center, so they are walking like 20 ft to switch rinks.

Played in our beach volleyball league finals last night. My complaint is not about playing, but the s####y quality of the sand yesterday. Midway through the last game I cut a huge gash in my right big toe and it hurts like all hell today. There were tons of rocks and i think a shard of glass (!) that might have done me in, but basically I have intense pain every time I take a step, which doesn't bode well for working today and playing indoors tonight for my fall league. :censored:

I'm reaaaaally hoping it is all documented and can really hurt the NFL.
-
I think that's the logical next step if he has all the proper documentation. Somehow I doubt that though... A decision in favor of the players in court would be a major dagger against the NFL's untouchable status and ham-fisted discipline

AFC: E: Patriots N: Steelers S: Texans W: Chiefs WC: Bengals, Broncos. NFC: E: Washington N: Packers S: Panthers W: Cardinals WC: Seahawks, Vikings. SB: Steelers over Cardinals.

I get where you are coming from now. We all seem to want to argue the merits of the rules themselves, with the intent of changing them to better reflect our more progressive times. The rule from my perspective is inherently unfair and should be changed. Viva la Revelucion! Your argument is that no matter what the rules say, it is your job as a professional and an employee to follow them to ensure employment and to avoid punishment. For instance, if there was a rule against walking your dog in public, no matter how silly or unjust you felt it was, if it meant losing your job or facing jail time, you sure as $hit wouldn't walk your dog. Seantrel should have been smarter and followed the fules, or at least reported going against the rules for medical reasons ahead of time. I still think that the rule should be changed and the drug policy to focus more on steriods and PED's like other leagues.

Or disco Dan's line combinations reach an all-time sadistic low

I'll be much more excited when this same report comes from Sabres practice. I'll believe it when I see it.
