This has been my experience as well. Everything i've gotten has been on the "meh" to "disgusting" scale. I do not recommend 716 to anything other than beer drinking and watching the game.

Fun washer/dryer story. My cousin married into a fairly famous political family in Buffalo, and this family has a very nice house in Lakeshore where me and my cousin have delivered at least 3 washer/dryer sets to their basement. This fairly wealthy family has about 5 sets of older model (think 10-15 years old) washers and dryers in their basement all hooked up and fully functional. Apparently it is so they can do all their laundry at one time. I thought it was the oddest thing, but to each their own

I do. I'll see if I can scrounge them up when I have time later tonight. Mostly porch and kitchen photos since I was kind of a slacker in documenting the whole thing.

I meant to do this more often lately while work is slow, but of course work got busy and I couldn't find time. Thanks!

I bought an old 1920's house in Kenmore that I have slowly been remodeling (read: gutting) each room in the house. Current status three years later is completely redone master and guest bedroom (including adding closet), rebuilt front porch and landscaping, brand new kitchen, removed walls, redid dining room and built half bath on first floor. Still have the living room and expansion of the 2nd floor bathroom to do, but no need to rush. Me and my father have done 100% of the remodeling and construction work, including HVAC, plumbing, hardwood floors, electrical, cabinet installation and drywall finishing. It has been a long road but it's been fun to say the least. Only thing we have hired out for is roofing. I'm not going up 35-40ft on a steep roof slope.

Very strange lines for the Sabres, but there is a possibility the fourth line of Kane-Moulson-Carrier could actually be productive and we roll four lines. Am I crazy? -
I'll put two units on the Sabres this afternoon. At $2,205

This comment is 100% on the money, and fairly accurately represents where I am at (with a little less rex hate). That said there is something about football that I can't shake. It's like a drug addict who knows it's bad but can't stop. My reliance might be more about the family and routine of Sundays. It's the day I know I get to see my dad at least once a week and he loves it

Just binge watched the first three episodes of Grand Tour yesterday. It's pretty fantastic. The big three are back and as good as ever -

No you really really like good entertaining hockey. What we were watching for the past two years was not hockey. I feel like we are the guys who have just left the cave for the first time -

Good point but I will say that for the last week we haven't been playing teams with such an aggressive forecheck, and when the passes connect it really activates the transition game. We haven't gotten burned on a turnover of his yet that I can recall -

That's great. Plus it shows that Disco Dan certainly sticks with his forward pairs - ROR and Okposo, Jack and Samson, Larsson and Foligno -
I thought Kane was very effective playing with Jack and Rhino tonight. If we get that Kane each night going forward I'll be thrilled

Sorry for the bad info. I was going by memory and ended up using the old GODD rules from a few years back

Yay! Hockey is fun again! I was fully engaged in this game and jumped with excitement each time we scored. :) -
I believe the rules state that only when you are below the minimum bet amount can you do partial bets by going "all in" to attempt to win back a full bet amount. But if Hank has a different interpretation that supersedes what I say. It's his contest.

Sexy. -
We flat out cannot keep up with some of the faster teams without a way to counter that. The only "fast" players on our team right now is Eichel and Kane. Everyone else is on a range from above average (Risto, ROR) to pylon level slow (Franson). I don't think it is a coincidence that the Ottawa game we played much faster and had a better transition game with Eichel back.

So just for some perspective here. The league as a whole has gone so passing heavy that there are only two teams in the whole league that run more than 50% of the time. Those are the Cowboys (51.5%) and the Bills (50.6%). The 28 other teams pass more than they run, with the highest disparity being the Packers at 64.7% Pass/35.3% Run. So the Bills are actually very balanced offensively, it is just the rest of the league has lost their minds with the skew towards passing plays. It should be noted that two of the top 3 teams record wise are in the top 5 for run frequency, the Cowboys (#1 run frequency, 10-1) and the Patriots (#5 run frequency, 9-2). You can win in many different ways folks. Stats from http://www.fftoday.com%2Fstats%2F14_run_pass_ratios.html&usg=AFQjCNEyVh5pZYoM1Z5utFEbHRUn8ojlPA

I think the hope is that Kane at least has demonstrated the ability to score goals in this league, even if it was many years ago. Last night I didn't see Kane flubbing any chances, and in fact manufactured one by throwing it off of Rhino's skate in the most Kane-like shot imaginable. there is something to be said about the forecheck ability and tenacity in the corners to help maintain zone time for our young stars. Kane can bring that.
-
As much as we may hate pairing Kane with Eichel and Rhino, it seems that this was the plan all along, or at least the first version of the plan. Kane might be the only player on our team with the speed to keep up with Eichel (or at least be in the neighborhood) on the rush, and does provide a toughness to address any cheap shots on the kids, while still having the talent to not nuke the chances like a Foligno or similar plumber would.

Glad to hear of your progress. I am very appreciative and fortunate that you feel comfortable sharing all this with all of us here.

That took an unexpected turn... :bag:

Can we the people petition the government for a redress of grievances? Maybe around Festivus time? The constitution has some odd olde english-type language in it...

Taylor Fedun -- Am I crazy, or is he pretty decent?
Samson's Flow replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
Given the resume you listed, it sounds like he should be a nobody that has little to no prospect pedigree. That being said, I have been very impressed with his offensive game, and have not noticed significant breakdowns on the defensive end. He seems to me to be exactly what everyone was hoping Mark Pysyk would turn into. Clearly DDB has taken notice as he is on the #2 PP unit which looks dangerously effective lately. Here's hoping we found a solid player from the scrap heap.
