Nilsson looked great in the ot. Canes played kind of grumpy, held the puck for a few minutes then made a line change trying out the Sabres players -

I've been wanting to see Kane on the Larsson line all year. He has the forecheck and tenacity to make that line interesting offensively -

100 Real Life Things that could be Matt Ellis
Samson's Flow replied to X. Benedict's topic in The Aud Club
So glad this thread was revived. I just spent a good 15 minutes reading through the gems everyone came up with back in 2015. -

Especially if - and i'm playing devil's advocate here - the goal is just to get Wing's company up to 100% donation level. Should those folks that donated $1 to get the company off their back really be counted as part of the 100% goal? The ones that are only donating a dollar aren't really doing much to contribute a meaningful amount to help said charity, and are probably only doing it to avoid being shamed as a non-participant. /soapbox. Sorry but "forced charity" is one of my big hot button topics. Let everyone decide what cause is important to them and donate (or don't) accordingly.

Are we going to agree on everything today? :w00t:

I had a complaint many years back about how my old company would have your direct manager come around during the lunch break (where the staff were all sitting together in the conference room) and peer pressure you into making donations for Ride for Roswell/MS Walk/Polar Plunge etc. I'm all for charitable donations and do so myself on my own time, but guilt tripping your employees is not the way to do it IMO.

Yeah! What are you doing say... Saturday March 25th around 7pm?

I remember eating 25 wings the last time we went out with my wife and her friend and they all looked at me like I was Adam from Man vs. Food. Once a month me and my teammates head to Bar Bill and down 100+ between 4 or 5 guys, along with two orders of waffle fries and a few beef on wecks. Yes I'm 28 and have the metabolism of a pre-teen, so I know it will eventually not be the case. But for now, give me those gluttonous wings

It doesn't lock the wheels, correct, but it stops the power from reaching the wheels when it senses loss of traction. This prevents a competent driver from pulling through a turn or correcting a spin out. I know what I am doing g', I don't need fancy electronics telling me how to drive.
-
Yeah but that point was that sick backhand goal where he drove past the defender and ducked toward the net. There's that flash of brilliance that everyone is looking for... ...it's probably similar to golf, where you play sh!tty the whole round and then make a great shot on one hole to make you think you're better than you really are. You still shot 110 and suck, but that one flash of skill keeps you coming back again and again.
-
Glad to see I'm not that only one who turns off the traction control in the snow  (but seriously it is way easier to drive in the snow when you know the electronics won't stop your wheels from spinning i.e. traction control. Randomly locking up the wheels makes it way harder to control your turns in the snow and causes accidents.)

Exactly. Lawsuits have made it so even the most obvious risks need to be disclosed ahead of time to cover the company's ass. There's a warning on my miter saw not to put your hand in direct contact with the blade - ya think?! My complaint was that they just relocated my department from North Amherst to Cheektowaga. Much nicer and more modern office space, but just in time for yesterday's blizzard. Took me 2 hours to get home to Kenmore, where if I was at my old location it probably would have taken the normal commute time. Amazing the difference being in the snow band makes.

Figures I'm on the other team the night we score 6. Down to $1,765 if my math is correct

I watched that Kreischer special a few weeks back. The last 15 minutes was the best part, as it was the origin of "The Machine"

At $2,005 I'll put two units on the Kings.

Game discussion thread GDT: Kings at Sabres 7PM 12-13-16
Samson's Flow replied to spndnchz's topic in The Aud Club
Hey look a hockey game! It seems like it has been week since the Sabres last played. -
This is the logical next step in the rebuild/development into a contending team. I think we have demonstrated that the top few players on our roster are of enough quality to make the playoffs. As a result of the 2 years of historical ineptitude, the rest of our team is filled with role players without any defined role or skill. These were players that were skilled enough at scoring during the tank years that they played on the "top" lines, but now that they have been superceded by Eichel and ROR, they are really poor fits on the bottom lines. These players include the likes of Gionta, Moulson, Girgensens, etc. The other portion of the team is made up of very green prospects and younger players that cannot be relied on to consistently perform the tasks required of a championship 3rd/4th line. I think GMTM needs to start focusing on acquiring and replacing players in order to fill a specific role, rather than just a collection of players that we hope can figure it out. i think that is part of the reason (not the only) of why we see so much line juggling, as there isn't a clear way that all the players fit together in a coherent manner.

My wife at least has the remote starter. The difference between my morning routine in the winter and hers is as drastic as it gets. I'm outside for 20 mins this morning while she is inside until the second she has to leave for work. I'm obviously doing it wrong. :wallbash:
