my mother found football much more of a hassle then hockey. Football practise meant she had to sit out in the hot baking sun in the dog days of summer (aug) and if she wanted to get out of the heat she could sit in her car with the ac.Hockey practise however was inside in climate control and if she got cold she could typicaly watch from the heated snack shop. And by the end of the seasons things flipped. Football out in the cold rainy/snowey oct and nov versus hockey going into some ac during the first couple warmups of spring
