  1. that is because the Kass is a greek god posing as a mortal hockey player................
  2. battery tech moreso than motor tech i think
  3. i am jacks complete indifference
  4. wasn't the icky woods shuffle before that?
  5. Maybe Grigs is simply trying to open up a option for the Sabres other then major juniors? Whats the ruling there? if his junior team doesn't want him he can go to the ahl? or is it he is put on junior waivers? betting he would clear them. Who would want to take a chance on someone that has said he will not play for your team
  6. Get yourself a helmet with cage, elbow pads, shinguards (kneepads at least) and either some thick winter gloves or hockey gloves. Then go nuts trying. imo it is harder to learn a hockey stop at slow speeds compared to higher speeds
  7. Only way to learn to hockey stop is to try it repeatedly until you can do it. Having said that think of it like playing tug a war where the opponent is your forward momentum. lean to far forward and you go head first into the sand pit, lean to far back and your sliding into the sand pit
  8. i wish we still had the like feature for posts lol
  9. i thought that turned out to be a dream he had whilest in a coma...
  10. I don't think the D is weak. I think they are built for the purpose of keeping the puck. going to be interesting to see what happens when the powerhouses try working them down low
  11. since the last time the Bills went to the superbowl there have been 2 teams that have won with what i consider average or worse QBs and none in the 10 years. You could make a case that Ben was average the first time he won and even if I give that one up it is still great or better QBs the past 7 years. it is not preferable to have a great quarterback it is a requirement with the way the game is played now. In order for trent Dilfer to win a superbowl it took a record setting and argueably best D ever defense for him to win. The odds are better to get a great QB then to hit on enough talent for 11 positions to get that record setting D
  12. strong and great defense WITH a great QB. the better your QB the weaker you can be everywhere else. If you don't have at least a great QB then your just burning out your clutch
  13. I don't consider Phil a winner. when the game is on the line and the next shift is can decide who wins or loses I don't want Phil on the ice for my team
  14. i nominate inkman for post of the year
  15. don't bother pointing out the holes in his logic he will ignore them or dismiss them
  16. i said nothing about a good suspension. I said the phone interview is good.
  17. well you are suppose to drink a full glass of water with it....
  18. that hits like that should be reviewed after the fact. Maybe even give guys like that fines so they have prior history. but to roast a guy and call for his head over charging or boarding is insane they are about the 2 most subjective calls in the rule book
  19. I will tell you whats wrong with that hit. Schenn is a victim of playing in a era where they put near full blame on the hitter. He had no reason to have situtational awareness nor the need to bother to expect a hit. Had this play happened 10 years or more ago Schenn would have been raked over the coals for putting himself in a vulnerable spot. I agree with Drane on this (talk about rare) there is nothing wrong with that hit. Wilson did everything I want a forward to do, he came in fast on the forecheck, he was decisive and on the toes of his skates, and last he finished his check. If you want to blame someone blame Schenn's teammates for not being in a position to give him a dumpoff. Also before someone wiseasses me like they did Drane, yes I have played hockey for many years and I stand by saying everything in this play was good except Schenn putting himself in that position. The hit was good, the response from the flyers was good, even Wilson getting a phone hearing is good.
  20. bruins writers and fans bitching about how Thornton's suspension will mean open season on players. aaa sweet sweet karma you are awsome
  21. and now i strangely want to watch some monty python...........
  22. hardly and complete ######. If Thornton was on the sabres and pulled that ###### you would be railing again about how horrible the sabres look to even have that guy on the roster. But instead your going with the BS thing that Scott targeted the head of Eriksson. If the sabres are bush league for having scott then the bruins are just as bush league for still having Thornton
  23. a body check is a hockey play. You can argue the distance travel or about who delivered it but body checking is hockey. what thorton did is bush league and something i would expect to hear happening in the echl or some such lower league. Seguin is looking real good and making the B's look bad for giving up on him. Still thou he is young and has the partyboy reputation. I hope he grows out of it but his coach doesnt have a great track record dealing with players like that
  24. aa the deluca spin. Scott makes a hockey play (body check) and he should be bum rushed outta the league. Thornton commits a act that is so against the code that many had to look up the rule that the nhl is using for his hearing because it is enforced so rarely and what do we hear? a tongue in cheek Gordie comparision and meantion that it was a ugly play
  25. why? I laugh at the sabres when they outshot that badly. Why should my sabres fandom impact my laughter of the leafs?
