    picking someone up off of waivers instead of letting them get a big payday and go ufa is a dick move that most likely would cause the player to be resentful and negative.... isn't that the opposite of what we want?

How about the head pro scout on free agent signings? I mean after all TM hired them or kept them to do a job and he should back off and let them do it right! Right?

    because you don't pay a player a cap hit of 5.75 million to play on the 4th line. Also didn't he have a semi front loaded contract? what is his recapture like the next few years?
