he needs to get his hockey mind working as fast as he plays. He seemed behind the play often in drills. But with a former all star defencemen as the HC maybe he can make it. I think he is a year away or maybe some mid season call up. Is he AHL eligible for the season?

I was encouraged by the fact that the closer to game situations the drills got the better Z looked.I was discouraged that the opposite seemed true of guhle. I don't think he is ready

Z was showing all 3. He was out skating both his linemates at times. I was very impressed with the awareness he was showing in the cycling drills

he looked bad in session 1 until they started with the breakout drills. Think he is benefiting from a simpler system

Atwal was unimpressive to me. If he is an enforcer he needs to know how to smehlik it out of the zone. If he dreams of being a hockey player he needs to know how to pass the puck. Martin was horrible when you consider he is 21 years old, played what? 5 years of junior? the thing that bugged me about him was his lackadaisical line changes I mean damn man put at least a little effort into getting to the bench also was it just me or did Baptiste look tiny out there?

Guhle looked good but i expected that. Smith looked like he knew what he was doing out there. Karabacek I was unimpressed with. He did not seem to read the play well when he had the puck and would default to trying to 1 man it threw a team.
