  1. Nah, that's a 4. You've been Butchered. 😉 No, not really. Pretty sure it's Okposo.
  2. Never say never. Scandella allowed Moe-ray-all to upgrade a 4th into a 2nd.
  3. Nobody wants to hear it, but Mittelstadt was getting looks on PK in the limited time he was available to Granato last year & this year. He's going to be penciled in there again.
  4. Expect Miller is definitely gone. Could also see Subban or Tokarski (or Anderson should he ever get healthy) getting moved for something like a 5th to a team wanting a 3rd stringer to be playoff insurance. Doubt they'd get even a 5th for Bjork, so doubt he moves. If Butcher could bring back anything see him gone. Maybe Hagg goes for a 5th or so if Samuelsson & Fitzgerald are playing well. Expect Caggiula gone if he gets healthy for a low pick. Could see either or both of Hinostroza or Eakin moved but won't be surprised either if both are back.
  5. That stinks. How did that attempted process begin / what was the trigger? Asking to hopefully avoid your tribulations. Planning on sticking w/ 10 u til they stop supporting it, so would be unhappy (understatement) if they forced that switch now. Can rewind to a few days ago if necessary to undo it, but that's a hassle too.
  6. UPL going to continue his St. Louis Grant Fuhr imitation? Expecting so. (Meaning continuing to get consecutive starts, hopefully the quality netminding follows as well,)
  7. Don't see any way they don't have at least 3 rookies on next year's squad: Power & at least 2 of Quinn, Peterka, & Krebs. Samuelsson will be up too, but he might get enough games this season to not be a rookie next year. Still hoping Adams leverages his cap space from next year to bring in 2 quality veteran D-men & a quality goalie (2 should UPL's awakening turnout to just be him hitting the snooze alarm) but don't have a good feel for whether he will or won't. A big part of the Eulers problems over the past 2 decades, IMHO, was never bringing in a critical mass of vets to teach all the high 1st rounders & other kids how to be pros & how to actually win. Adams seems to understand that he needs quality leaders, but we'll see what that translates into, if anything.
  8. It worked for Tallinder & Lydman.
  9. Baby steps.
  10. Interesting. TIL. Always thought they went 6-3. 🍺
  11. Seeing this w/ the word "neat" in it brings up that somebody should be able to come up w/ an Addams (or Adams) Family Sabres themed parody.
  12. Somebody needs to point out to the NFL's lawyers that they CAN be ADA compliant even without hiring blind refs.
  13. Don't know. And it was a few years back, but back in October of '14 the Aisles got Leddy & Boychuk for a 2nd rounder each. So, the D necessary to fix this up don't necessarily have to be expensive. Especially w/ the cap space the team will have & Pegula bucks, they could get the 2 guys (& the goalie they'll need too) without "mortgaging the future."
  14. Absolutely. Want to try to catch some North Eastern games because the highlights make him seem like a smaller Carey Price. Would be really nice to get back to having a real goaltender. Prior to Miller getting traded to St. Louis we never went more than a year or 2 with only adequate goaltending and we never had inadequate goaltending for even an entire season. Was not happy w/ the trade. Have come around on it, though definitely would've preferred getting Levi for something other than Reinhart. (Yes, that ship has sailed, but it's still visible over the horizon, so ...)
  15. They already have Knight who is 1 draft year older who's already in the NHL and playing well and they have Bobrovsky who is very expensive and not movable at all for 2 more years should they even think about moving him as he's playing well, too. If they still had his rights, they definitely wouldn't be signing him after this NCAA season, & likely wouldn't the next year either. They have no room for him in the NHL. So then they watch him walk the following year. Having 3 years worth of Reinhart for only an additional late 1st seems to be very worth it from their view. (Even though they were only guaranteed 1 year of Reinhart.) Florida was in the enviable position that SJ used to find itself in back in the late '90's & early '00's: too many quality GT prospects to be able to keep them all. There's only room for 2 guys on the big club & Florida is set for at minimum 2 years and very likely 3 or 4. As for the draft, not being in one of the 3 Major Junior leagues & being smaller than a prototypical goalie was definitely held against him.
  16. Would be surprised if he is. The announcers haven't been traveling w/ the team this year. Expecting we're getting Dunleavy from the MMArena's rafters.
  17. Yep. One of those moves that should make both teams better.
  18. Robson getting the start again? Or Houser or Dell? Would like to see Robson again.
  19. Makes sense. Subban might not be an NHLer. Dell definitely isn't one. Wonder if Houser is the one going back to Cincy. The other kid (Robson?) looked real good last week.
  20. From the view today, yeah, it's kind of wild. But without hindsight, not surprising at all. He was drafted well before the WJC that he was the best goalie at. He also was not expected to be the starter of that Team Canada much less to be as studly as he's been. He was firmly 3rd on the depth chart (if even that high) heading into camp. Without Luongo's input, he very well might have gone undrafted. The Panthers have Bobrovsky on a ridiculous (bad) contract for 4 more years & also have Knight. They're happy w/ what they have & managed to get an affordable top 6 winger for a very late 1st & a guy they don't have room for who only cost them a 7th originally.
  21. UPL's between the pipes tonight.
  22. You honestly don't think Brandon failed at his job as Bills President? He is the guy that sold the Pegulas on Rex Ryan. He's the jack-hole that brought us the Toronto games. Adams already is effectively the Team President. Don't see ANY way (barring something totally unexpected like a morals clause related issue) that Adams gets punted THIS off-season & really expect him here at least through next season & he's likely a part of this organization for the long haul.
  23. No history of moving people around in the organization? Huh? Brandon moved from Bills President to President over all the teams. Adams himself moved up from the Hockey Acadamy to running Harbor Center to Running the Sabres (not including earlier moves). He moves people all over.
