Am about 30 minutes behind live action, but the Swamp Cats are killing the BJs 4-1 late in the 1st. Reinhart's line is putting on a clinic & he has 2 goals & could've had a 3rd already. Levi had better be the real deal. 'Cause, this is kinda painful to watch. And Laine makes it 4-2 just before the 1st ends.

Injury concerns let Thurman Thomas slip to the 2nd round & the Bills way back when. If this injury lets Jiricek slip a few slots to the Sabres, am OK with it.

Nashville's had good forwards for a long time, but have rarely had a true #1C to round out that corps. As for goaltending, expecting at least 1 of the 3 lottery tickets will hit. Will one? Won't know for sure for a while, but at this point it seems more likely than not.

Like it or not, we seem to be poised upon the edge of cheering for Nashville North in about 2 years.

Who besides Tee Martin did they interview that meets the requirement did they interview?

As others have said, this is likely to meet the Rooney Rules. They'll still need to interview at least 1 more minority candidate to meet the revised requirements.

In fairness to those that wanted Rosen (or Mayfield, or Darnold) over Allen, was there ANY reason at all in the spring of 2018 to believe the Bills coaching staff would be able to develop a ridiculously raw physically gifted QB? (Especially considering the line & receivers he was to be saddled with.) Allen & Jackson were far more raw talents than any of the other 3 out of the "big 5." Ironically, or not, the "most NFL ready" guy was the only true all out bust, though Darnold is entering that same discussion. As for those going off the deep end expressing that hyperbolic sentiment, welcome to the internet, have fun whacking them. There'll be a brand new supply of people w/ horrible hyperbolic takes to abuse in no time flat. 😉

To the bolded, didn't see any collisions/ slashes that looked particularly egregious. He took a fairly hard check on the PP with ~6:40 left but skated through it and had 3 or so shifts after it. That said, his skating seemed labored during his final 2 shifts and for the entire game he seemed to be skating at Reinhart speed. Could definitely see the decision to pull him as being a precautionary measure. If so, wonder if they'll sit him in Vegas to let him get a couple of extra days to continue to be healing up prior to the full AS break.

Memory is a strange thing. Somehow converted her going to William Howard Taft HS to being from Ohio. (Knew there was something about Ohio in her background. And admitted wasn't sure if that wasn't misremembered. D'oh!) Also, really thought she died after that truck accident 15 years ago. Glad she's still alive & kicking.

See it every now & then at Walmart of all places. Pretty cool collection. ALMOST all the original music is included now. The Contest Nobody Could Win is COMPLETELY different than the syndicated version. And the 2 part episodes are run as single episodes. Some really good bits got lost w/ the syndicated versions, so it was cool to get pretty much the original episodes as they originally aired.

Again, she did eventually MOVE to & settle in NS. She wasn't from there.

Actually Jan Smithers was IIRC from Ohio. (She was living in CA when she was the cover girl for the Newsweek feature on baby boomers, but thought that wasn't where she grew up. Could definitely be off on that one.) But after Brolin dumped her for Babs (what a friggin' idiot he was) she moved to your NS's neck of the woods. And Bailey was from the Windy City.

What WERE the Yotes thinking? Pretty ballsy to think they already have 32 locked up. Wouldn't be the 1st team to have hubris induce fate to bite them in the bippy.

So, he could sign NEXT off-season, burning 1 year of career earnings while being locked into the Sabres system w/ 1 year left on his 2 year ELC, OR he could stay in college for 1 additional year burning 1 additional year of career earnings while signing as a UFA anywhere on a 1 yr ELC. All of that presuming he really wants to stay in school 1 more year. Either way, at that point he'd effectively start his pro career the year following his last college season on a 1 year ELC. Presuming the Sabres would still be willing to burn that 1 year of ELC for him. (IF Levi & UPL are lights out AND the Sabres are in a playoff race, the circumstances might make getting him into an NHL game that spring problematic. Not saying that's a given, but it IS possible, if not probable.) At that point, staying in school 1 more year (or even going KHL for 1 year if there's nothing left to prove in college) isn't completely out of the question. IMHO the Sabres should make it easy for him to decide to do what Biron says Levi has already decided to do. Because, once he's down to 1 year remaining to become a 1 time UFA, that can become an attractive option to a kid w/ 2 young guys ahead of him in the pecking order. They don't really gain much by waiting another year to sign him as he's considered a 22 YO at present per the CBA.

Bandits were lucky today they were playing the lowly Riptide. Vinc, who came in w/ ~0.870 save "percentage" was around 0.650 and the Bandits gave up a shortie & allowed the 'Tide to go 7-9 on the PP. Trailing 17-14 with ~2:00 to go, they got to 17-15 at 4v4 then got a 5:00 major & a 2:00 minute minor shortly thereafter and ended the game w/ 3 straight PP goals, the last in OT, to win 18-17. Without the parade to the box, they should've won going away, but lucked into eaking out a W against a bad 2nd year team. They are the NLL's only undefeated team & 1 of only 3 with 5 wins.

Interesting. Would need an NHL 0.500 to get there from here. Went w/ 71 before the season started & will stick w/ that.

In no small part because he played like dog doo doo in October.

Next weekends Amerks games will be interesting (& not in a good way) should that come to pass.
